Okay, if you ever need a measuring stick to find out just how much Steve Stockman’s tray is not in the full upright and locked position, you have this —
Tea party firebrand Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) isn’t endorsing Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) or anyone else in the Republican primary for Sen. John Cornyn’s Senate seat.
“I didn’t know he was gonna run, and I have not – I didn’t endorse him,” Gohmert told the Daily Caller on Wednesday when asked about Stockman’s challenge to Cornyn. “I hadn’t planned on endorsing anybody in any office in the primary.”
Honey, when Louie Gohmert thinks you’re a nut, you need to go check yourself in somewhere before you gnaw off your hand or something.

Good to know Louie is cautious about some things.
1I think this says less about Gohmert’s judgment and more about his basic cowardice. I mean, why endorse a loser, not matter how Tea Party the guy is.
2Gohmert is waiting to see which way the foul Repug wind blows before hitching up his wagon. He may be a nut, but he’s a scheming nut.
3‘Tain’t caution. There is simply way too much that Louie doesn’t know.
4Stockman seems to have caught everyone (especially the Republican Party) by surprise.
Maybe even Stockman????

5I have yet to read where he said “GOD” told him to run.
So, maybe he’s hearing somebody else?
Louis has both hands covering his bee-hind because he knows if he opens his mouth he will feel a boot in that area shortly thereafter.
Seriously I am amazed he has the common sense to keep out of primaries, on the other hand maybe not, drop a rat in a barrel of water and it swims like a champ
6There’s different ways to read this, y’all; if Stockman didn’t tell Gohmert on purpose, there may–I’m just speculating, y’all calm down–may be some sense somewheres in Stockman, or his immediate vicinity.
Also, Stockman may have planned it with Louie, who just plain forgot it since. Or Louie might be a conniving scumbag out only to save his sorry ass.
