The flood of executive orders, the threats of invading Greenland, Musk taking an axe to the federal government, Trump continuously on television making a fool of himself.  That is all part of the plan to “flood the zone with shit”, but that’s not the entire plan.  A lot of the Trump plan is massive gaslighting, or trying to create the illusion that what he’s doing is actually bigger than it really is, or, indeed, exists at all.

Take deportations, for example.  The Trump administration is pushing posts from 7 and 8 years ago to make people think the deportations are much larger than reality.  What they’re doing is reposting deporation stories and photos from 7 or 8 years ago, but pushing them to the top of your Google feed with search engine optimization to make them look new.  They’re gaslighting you so Trump can lie and say he’s doing mass deportations when, in fact, they are much smaller.  The posts are designed to whip up their base and terrorize the immigrant community.  That’s also why they’re using US military planes and shackling deportees instead of just using commercial airliners.  The use of military planes is something like 8 to 9 times more expensive and carries less passengers per plane.

This all part of the strategy of “flooding the zone with shit” so the truth becomes unknowable, sort of like the bullshit about $50 million in condoms for Gaza.  Bullshit.
