First Powell, Now Chesebro

October 20, 2023 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Trump writ twit Kenneth Chesebro just flipped as the circle of Trump’s gate keepers starts falling like dominoes downhill on an ice slick.

The plea deal is another major victory for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who charged Trump and 18 others in the effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. Thursday, former Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell also pleaded guilty.

Trump is looking for counties with no extradition treaties with the US and a hot secret document market.

    Alex Jones got kicked, too.

The mills of the gods grind slowly, yet they grind exceeding fine.

I first encountered that line in Schiller’s Nathan the Wise over 50 years ago, and the idea was a thousand years old whe Schiller stole it in the 18th century.

Wonder what other codefendents have trials scheduled to start soon because they’ll be the next to flip. Ooh- this is getting juicy.

Rudy’s probably looking forward to free housing, given his financial woes…

I’m still amazed at the number of people who Trump successfully talks into committing crimes, even after seeing how many of Trump’s other minions ended up in jail. One would think they’d figure out that when Trump does a crime, his minions do the time.

  4. Jordan goes down again with even less support. Thats not really as good as it sounds. He still got way more votes (194) than a moral conscience should generate. That any other than the Freedumb Caucus would vote for him is an indictment of cowardice.

  6. Have been following the circus on TV. My, how the R’s are way so unhappy!!It looks for all the world as if Hakeem Jeffries just might be the first House Speaker of color. What the bleep did the R’s think would happen when they decided to kick out a speaker on someone’s unhappy vote and they had no backup standing in line! And Jordan is just so odoriferous. Tells you a lot about their collective IQ.

  9. Two down and 16 to go before the Orange Defendant stands alone. I’m sure Ms. Willis is glad that she doesn’t have to do two trials instead of one.

I wonder how long it will take the Rs to realize that working with the Ds isn’t the worst idea in the world.

  14. Only 20 countries do not have extradition treaties with the US. Of the 3 he could endure living in, Switzerland is too expensive for him and Russia and China really don’t want him without his classified documents

  15. Some days perspective bitch slaps you, some days it’s a sweet kiss.

To receive the pictures of US citizen hostages released into Israeli custody, and compare that revelation to the attempts at petite despotism (by Gym and the MAGAts), and the initial courtroom confirmation of the treasonous acts of TFG leaves GOP perfidy relatively unimportant. Except that the necessities of pragmatism are often cruel; Uprooting Hamas may take hundreds of hostage lives, as well as thousands of Palestinian and Israeli lives. And yet MAGAts want to lead our country into the despotic rule of theocrats and fascistic partisans, and we are responsible for defeating them. Now is the time to be grateful, but resolute.

And she strongly threw Giuliani under the bus basically calling him a criminal. Will be interesting if he flips next blaming trumpf for everything. Might be his only play to stay out of jail. The dominos are falling donnie.

Countries that don’t extradite to the USA: that includes Switzerland (Switzerland! Who knew?) among a bunch of undesirables.

  22. The Surly Professor says:

Jere: Some countries that don’t have capital punishment refuse to extradite criminals who might be subjected to it. But in those cases they generally will go along if the US promises not to threaten or use execution. Maybe that’s what Switzerland is about? In any case, I think most of us here would like to see him in prison orange, eating only Nutriloaf, and only allowed to hike around a prison yard one hour a day.

An execution may be more suitable, but that pleasure would only last for a few days.

Oh, I forgot about the Great Artist exemption (e.g., Roman Polanski) that apparently applies in Switzerland and France.
