Splendid
I you live in a foreign state, you probably don’t know the good news we have in Texas.
Colin Allred is entering the race fr senate against Ted Cruz.
Allred is a third term congressman who beat Pete Sessions in a red district. He’s giving up his safe seat to take on Cruz.
He attended Hillcrest High School in Dallas, played football for Baylor, signed with the Tennessee Titans for a couple of years, then went to law school at UC Berkeley.
I’m running for U.S. Senate because Texans deserve a Senator whose team is Texas. Ted Cruz only cares about himself.

I know Colin. I’m gonna put his name in my front yard.
If anybody can beat Ted Cruz, it’s Colin. And I suspect Cruz will come off as a wimpy Canadian when lined up with Colin Allred.
Go give him $10. Or, mail it.

I heard the angels singing yesterday, looked at the news and saw this — how wonderful!!!
1I’m in a foreign state but this guy deserves at least my $10 bucks. It’s worth it to the country to send fled cruzing out the senate door for good! Maybe he can get a job with, you know, that place where tuckster’s mouth was.
2Good article about Colin https://link.msnbc.com/click/31365256.128392/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubXNuYmMuY29tL3JhY2hlbC1tYWRkb3ctc2hvdy9tYWRkb3dibG9nL2NvbGluLWFsbHJlZC10ZWQtY3J1enMtYXR0ZW50aW9uLXRleGFzLXJjbmE4MjY1Mj9jaWQ9ZW1sX21hZGRvd18yMDIzMDUwMyZ1c2VyX2VtYWlsPTdlMWNlNWQ3ZjA3YmQ2NTY0NjlmMTA2MjNkYWVkN2E4ZWQwMmE1Y2ZmYjdiODc5NWY3NjliN2JkNmM3MDFlNDc/57c096c1487ccd9c228b5f26Cd81c1944
3I was wondering why I got an email today from somebody I had never heard of who had the audacity of taking on Cruz. I may need to reconsider.
4Cruz is not Canadian. He’s yours; not one of us. Appreciate you easing up on the drive by slagging of your northern neighbors.
5Kim, we love you. Maybe Cuba will claim him. He’s nothing but an embarrassment to the rest of us.
6I am not from the US, so this might be a stupid question, but here goes.
If I understand matters correctly, the thing that got Beto O’Rourke relatively close against Senator Cruz in 2018 was his campaigning in non-traditional areas (for a Democrat), and particularly his ability to get higher-than-normal percentages of Hispanics to vote in the Rio Grande valley.
How then will Mr Allred go in this area, and would Mr O’Rourke do any campaigning for him? (And if he did, would that be good or bad?)
7I’m indeed in a foreign state, but I was tangentially involved with Mr. Allred’s campaign materials and was very impressed. I kept hitting ActBlue until his account came up, and I sent a chunk o’ change. I’m very enthused about the prospect of getting rid of Cruz.
8So excited to see this news yesterday in the WaPo. Will certainly send him at LEAST $10! What a great alternative to Cancun Ted.
9I liked the part where he talked about his kids being 5 generations worth of Texan. I’m sure our favorite Cube-Nadian can top that.
