Yes, tunnel! Our friend Deb checked and here it is on the historic drawings of Mar a Lago. Bottom, left, oh hell – there’s a tunnel to the beach.
I cannot, and I will not, even imagine what manner of crapola is (1) hidden there, (2) what was brought in through there, (3) if the FBI had a key to the tunnel, or (4) why that sucker doesn’t flood during high tide. But mostly I wonder if anybody could tell the difference between Rudy and the nocturnal bats who obviously live there.

A tunnel in Florida and near a beach? Most of Florida is limestone with a very high water table and frequent flooding. Roodi would need water wings and flippers.

The poor ol’ Library of Congress website must be getting hammered over this. I looked at the Mar-A-Pendejo blueprint link, and have been trying to see some other page [using the arrows ] and keep getting :

3Upon doing some checking, at much as it would be fun, this story isn’t quite true.
That Library of Congress image of page 106 shows something labeled “to tunnel to beach”, on the –east– side of the mansion [left bottom of drawing , adjacent to the ‘baby house’, look at the other pics, talk about opulent to the max], which is probably a path or walkway leading to a tunnel under a beach dune on the Atlantic.
–Not the ‘tunnel’ Ghouliani used.
The tunnel he apparently used is/was on the opposite [west] side of Mar-A-Pendejo.
4According to the Business Insider link, Ghouliani used a tunnel –under– Ocean Drive, which is –west– of Mar-A-Pendejo [top of drawing]; going to the bungalow he was staying in:
“During the difficult time, Trump allowed the Giulianis to stay in a bungalow across the street from Mar-a-Lago that was accessed via an underground tunnel beneath South Ocean Boulevard so they could avoid the media glare.”

5That actual ‘tunnel’ actually seems to be completely undocumented in the LoC “Historic American Buildings Survey” pages, which have images and information from different times and sources.
So it really is a secret tunnel.
It’s probably got bars at each end that can be lowered to trap Indiana Jones or the FBI on an incoming tide.

I am about 20 miles due south of TFG and we have tunnels at our beaches. From the parking lot, under A1A, to the shore.
They only face flooding during hurricanes.
I was also at Hemmingway’s home in Key West and he had a basement. A real up-north style basement. I unfortunately do not recall how it came to be as I enjoyed too much food & drink at Sloppy Joe’s before the tour.
I know that there was a story behind it because generally speaking, if you dig a deep hole in Fla you will find water.
Dig one within a mile of the beach and the water will go up & down with the tide.
So Rudy failed at self-rehab?

I was on Bimini in the 1980s. The Compleat Angler was a great place. So sad that it burned down.
11It was not a tunnel to the beach, it was to a bungalow across the street. Mar-a-Lago was built and opened during Prohibition. It was probably a smuggler’s tunnel, and likely dry. We know one end of the tunnel. Where was the entry point in Mar-a-Lago?
12Could it be in a storage room?
Was the Secret Service aware, and was there a surveillance system?
