Dan Crenshaw *Almost* Learned How To File His Financial Disclosure
Congresscreep Dan Crenshaw filed his financial disclosure statement this morning and that’s a good thing, because it was due on the 13th and today is the 25th.
Oddly, he also filed an amendment to his financial disclosure statement this morning adding … tada, you guess it, his book royalties.
Now, why you would file an amendment – which is kinda like an oppsy – on the very same day you filed your statement is a totally mystery to me.
It looks like Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen was right. Dan The *Almost* Man included his missing royalties off a book that apparently only the RNC bought, but they did buy 400,000 worth.
By the way, as far as his California Boy properties, if you’re pretty damn good at snooping, you can find them. The one in San Diego is here. And here ya go look at Imperial Beach, where the water is more polluted than your average Republican convention goer, you can see what the beach boy is only getting between $15 to $50 grand in rentals.
Well, isn’t that special? My congressional varmint has rental properties in California. Now why does that state sound familiar? Oh, right…. it’s the one all those Texas repugs love to castigate as ‘too librul’. But they must think it’s a great place to rip off renters. I guess there are decent landlords but I bet the whole pot ole Dan’s not one of them.
Good info, thanks Alfredo!
1Dan’s such a poor writer his party had to buy his books to keep them out of the bargain bin with The Art of the Deal.
2When will Dan receive the Aaron Schock treatment? Nevermind. My bad. The QOP is fine with graft and corruption. It’s the bad taste in office décor that catches their attention. Or not.
3Imperial Beach? Super high crime rate and sewage polluted beach. So in addition to running the standard Republican book money laundering scam, he’s a California slumlord too?

Imperial Beach — also home to two National Wildlife Refuges, a Marine Conservation Area, and a California State Park. I’ve not been there recently, so don’t know about current crime rates — when I was, there were a fair number of Navy folks off base from North Island.
5It looks like the first listing is $400K for what is a cross between an efficiency and a one-bedroom apartment. That’s pricey even by California standards. As for the second listing – all I can say is $1-million doesn’t buy what it used to.

Imperial Beach is an older community at the southern end of San Diego Bay and has a large military population because rent is more affordable there. The wildlife refuges, conservation area and state park run from the southern border of Imperial Beach to the Mexican border. On July 15, 2021, Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge and shorelines in Imperial Beach were closed – again – due to sewage contaminated runoff from the Tijuana River Valley. Crime rate statistics are all over the place depending on who you listen to and how recent their data is but it averages around 40% where 100% is safest. Personally I consider that high but I suspect it’s mostly due to it’s proximity to Chula Vista and San Diego where the crime rate is higher.
7Well, $400,000 of taxpayers money ………….
8Now that we shouldn’t need all the military equipment we’ve been buying the last twenty years, I wonder how many Congressvermin will report sales of those stocks!
9Given the “oopsies” of several relatively new Republican Representatives, wouldn’t you think SOMEONE in the Republican House Conference would insist that members get consistent and competent help with their financial filings?
Rep. Boebert “overlooked” reporting on nearly a million dollars paid to her spouse in 2 years [plus earlier difficulties on mileage reimbursement and “mistaken” payments from her campaign account]. Crenshaw delayed and then had the “amendment” for his book royalties. Matt Gaetz “Failed to Properly Disclose His Abysmal Book Sales.” Rep. Harshbarger [R-TN] headline was “rep says financial advisor caused congresswoman to violate stock disclosure rules.”
10This jerk was on the news tonight criticizing Biden’s response to the Kabul bombing today. Utterly shameless.
11So, I’m guessing that ol’ Dan blames President Obama for the loss of his eye, since he’s pretty quick to blame President Biden for the deaths today of those Marines and Navy Corpsman in Kabul. Keep it classy, Dan. Real nice piece of work.
12BarbinDC, as a veteran and pilot who studied evacuations as part of my training, fwiw, I give President Biden an A+.
Ending the war and evacuating as many as have been evacuated? President Biden has earned the right to declare this a “big fucking deal.” He sure beats the hell out of QOP politicians who say stupid stuff like “mission accomplished,” when the whole mission is heading into the crapper.
13OT: Tropical news— Atlantic – Future Hurricane Ida [newly a TS] could be another Katrina on Sunday, in the same place, LA/NOLA. The GOM is like a sauna.
14E Pacific- Tropical Storm Nora will hit Cabo San Lucas next day on Monday as a major hurricane, and rip straight up Baja California.
On Afghanistan, there was never going to be a way out that wouldn’t be chaotic with 2 terrorist factions dueling each other. Most on the right (and some Democrats) conveniently forget how we got here including the trumpf and pompous pompeo setting up what’s happening now. Biden didn’t make the agreement with one of the two devil factions but did say time is up for this 20 year fiasco. It’s bad but frankly Biden is stepping up again on a f….ing mess left by ahh, repugnanticans.
15And of course they cry impeachment cuz they don’t have anything else except to cry foul to covid actions.
Of course Der Trumpf would have handled the evacuation differently. He wouldn’t have lifted a finger to save any Afghanis.
