Okay, here’s a weird expenditure from the Republican National Committee.
Well, Health Consulting doesn’t sound too outta line until you find out that they specialize in DNA testing to determine paternity.

1There are times when I think “could they get even wierder?” And they go right ahead an prove they can!
2Well, to be fair, DNA testing is about 4th down on their list — at the top is drug testing and other stuff, including, now covid testing for asymptomatic patients.
Covid testing seems to be their big thing right now. When you go to the website, you get hit with mostly that. I would suspect that may well be what this charge is all about
While paternity checking makes for a nice juicy rumor and headline (as well as a laugh), I’m more willing to bet the services were for something else.
YMMV.
3Anybody else curious about the items labeled “garnishment”? At least one and maybe two seem to be paying someone’s child support. Somehow related to the paternity test?
4If I were paying for something embarrassing, I’d try to pay from a more secret account, or perhaps cash. I hope none of these pardons that are being bandied about will not allow some pointed questioning by the FEC.

Notice how for the most part the women on payroll are making much less than men? It jumps out at me every time I see these listings, but I’d have to do some munging on the HTML to get the data into a form that would allow that kind of query. And surgery has me typing one-handed for the next two weeks.
