Fake News

The Dallas Observer has a fun and interesting story that certainly became click-bait for me.

It’s a short, entertaining story about a free lance photographer who found himself in Tulsa.  You’ll grin.

Ditto. 403 – Forbidden. Maybe you can only see it if you really are a Drump Supporter.

Can anybody identify what the police officer is holding?

Sandridge? You’re the subject matter expert.

  9. Sandridge says:

slipstream @13, [pic 86], That’s a really dim image to me, I captured it, opened it in IrfanView, and zoomed it to 415%, still can’t tell much.
If the ‘white’ portion above the trigger group is a receiver /barrel it may be a low-power teargas or beanbag/rubber bullet projectile launcher, big for a bullet, small for the usual teargas rounds. Can’t see the barrel end, so?
Image 91 seems to show two similar arms [2nd from right and 3rd left ]. One on left seems to show a big CO2 bottle attached, for an air gun charge? One on right has appearance of pic86 with a short barrel that could be of a shotgun gauge size. Skimmed through , pic15 shows something similar too, but with a magazine.
Who knows , whatever they are they probably hurt bad.

PS: That ‘dallas observer’ website, like most ‘media’ ones, is one of those intrusive ones that keeps a steady stream of two way IP traffic going over your internet connection. No [easy ] way to tell what it’s up to, spying or what? But I killed its tab quick.
If you’re on a metered internet/phone connection, those places will eat your lunch.

Every link above gives me a Forbidden error. Every. Single. One.

  12. slipstream says:

Thanks, Sandridge. Figured it was some kinda of bean bag thrower, but that was only a guess.

Mah Fellow Murkuhn: yeah, even the link I posted now gives me the Forbidden error. I don’t understand it. It’s the link that led me to the picture in the first place.
