Dueling Headlines

Okay, the first headline from CNBC.

And another one from today the Dallas Morning News.

Yes, Trump is coming tomorrow night at the height of the Coronavirus surge.

President Trump plans to announce a plan for “holistic revitalization and recovery” during a trip to Dallas on Thursday built around a high-dollar fundraising dinner expected to bring in $10 million.

All it’s gonna take is one sick waiter because you know Trump is not going to allow social distancing to make his crowd look smaller and none of the sumbitches will wear a mask.

I do not know what holistic revitalization is, but anytime I hear revitalization, I know some poor people are gonna get screwed. And since Trump is announcing it in front of very rich people, even the middle class will get screwed.

Be social and share!

Y’all check your voter registration status here [like do it often, you can’t trust those Austin sumbitches]:

Note on that website’s “Am I Registered” page, below in the [on left] “You Count” box, all the ‘people in profile’ figures are colored RED. Neat bit of subliminal imagery, eh?
Those Rethugs –always– ‘get’ across the board systematic symbolism and persuasion, if only Dems did…

  3. Robert McClellan says:

I looked up holistic community revitalization it’s called Purpose Built Communities and its goals are:
Free education from pre-K through college
    Mixed income housing
Free childcare and many other things.
I I don’t know who fed Trump that group but I bet they are somewhere laughing their ass off.

  5. holistic – for the Evangelicals, even though they don’t know what it means either, but sounds like holy

revitalization – bringing the economy back to life with money, extracted in parts from programs for the poor or middle class taxes, based on a method used in Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein which reanimated the unmourned dead with electricity

So much for the Trumpeteers who were blatting about the cases were mostly in “democrat run” states.

It’s going to be very interesting to see how the mass media treats this. They have turned against His Heinous–reporting the facts without weasel words or “whataboutism” or “bothsiderism”. He is no longer being given the benefit of the doubt. It’s about time.

  8. Grandma Ada says:

I wonder if there will be protesters? When he’s been in Houston taking bribes – usually at the St. Regis or some other posh spot – there will be lots of protesters with big signs, etc. yet nothing makes it to the news! Also, what regulations will now be watered down? I’m so tired of him I hope my head doesn’t explode before I can vote in November.

    Purpose Built Communities = Sweden

It sounds like they’d rather have a speech from Bernie Sanders.

Under the circumstances I think I’ll be forgiven.

  11. Steve from Beaverton says:

It will be interesting to see the protests in Dallas, and what kind of armed forces he’ll demand as a show of his power (actually his show of cowardice).

Record COVID-19 increases and Trump coming to town for a big fundraising dinner. Sure, Texas. C’mon, Mother Nature, do your stuff!

You can bet that Amon Carter is up in heaven and relieved that Cheeto Jesus is coming to Dallas instead of Fort Worth. I join him in that sense of relief knowing this is as close as I have to come to this fraud.

  15. Kate Dungan says:

The top three African American office holders in Dallas have not been invited to this shindig. No mayor. No police chief. No county judge. So much for talking race relations in Dallas.
