  1. BarbinDC says:

There is only one solution: vote every Rethug out of office and never vote for another R again.

  2. Old Fart says:

FIRSTLY: May The Fourth Be With You!

Second: McTurtle is trying to ram through protections for businesses that will force workers to work in unsafe conditions. Because Capitalism.

  3. Grandma Ada says:

I think every GOP governor should have to watch the new Lincoln Project ad and then take time to review their options when they are voted out of office – talking’ to you Greg!

  4. Jane & PKM says:

Bingo. That’s Kemp. And it is all Republicon ‘policy’ in service to capitalism. FDR was the last President to make a dent in the ills of capitalism and Republicons have fought like hell since to restore the owner/slave relationship. They’ve done a good job of convincing too many voters to vote against their own interests and keep an unsustainable system on taxpayer life support.

  5. RepubAnon says:

Once the Republicans got their billions for billionaires bill passed, they lost interest in helping the rest of us. How normal.

Thats just Lindsey whispering sweet nothings (zeroes) in his ear.

Trump Says He Won’t Approve Covid-19 Package Without Tax Cut That Offers Zero Relief for 30 Million Newly Unemployed

“‘Payroll tax cut’ is code for ‘gut Social Security and Medicare’s dedicated funding, then demand benefit cuts.’ Democrats must stand strong and continue blocking Trump’s terrible idea.”

Does anyone else feel like Effing BLOATUS is calling the Preakness race by bragging how many dead cross the finish line?

  7. 50 years ago Kent State happened.
Republicans are still destroying the country.

  8. Ex Tex says:

I can’t find where this was “posted” — it only shows up on places like Flickr or Reddit, from where I sit.
Is it real, or a believable falsehood from the anti-ALEC (whoever that might be)?

  9. Ah the old “just obeying orders” mantra recycled for businesses.
Must obey orders to re-open no matter health risk since the Gov.ha ordered it and my insurance companies beleive in the delusional, when it helps prevent any pay outs, rather then sceince.

    9
  10. Opinionated Hussy says:

Ex Tex#8 – It is my understanding that refusing to come in to work because of health concerns disqualifies people from receiving unemployment, especially since Georgia is a so-called “right-to-work” (i.e. right-to-be-fired) state. And most southern states (I don’t know about states in other parts of the country) have not passed any rent-relief legislation, so the post is dead-on about the landlord issue.

The entire post falls in line with my understanding of the legal situation in Georgia, but that’s just my admittedly non-legal opinion; I haven’t made a study of it (mostly because I have a healthy respect for my blood pressure).
