No, No, No

Well, you knew it was coming, and now here’s the tease.

When Trump retweets a #FireFauci it becomes a shiver looking for  spine to run up.

Fauci is the last truth-teller who will get within ten feet of Dear Leader.

I dunno, y’all.  Maybe the Democratic Governor’s Association needs to start holding their own press conferences based in truth, justice, and the American way. Hire Fauci and give him a microphone. Hell, even Fox would have to broadcast it because our Governors are commanding this fight.

  1. What’s appalling is that Congress will say nothing and do nothing to Trump. They all need to catapulted out the door in November.

  2. His Heinous cannot fire Fauci. Fauci has civil service protection and doesn’t serve “at the pleasure of the President.” Birx, on the other hand, is a political appointee and can be fired by the Orange Moron.

Sweet Jesus, November cannot get here soon enough!

Opiniated @3; It has been my opinion for about 2 years that nothing short of a crisis like this flu would shift enough of the trump voters to remove him.
It is still too soon to assure this outcome. The flu debacle needs to get worse and close to Nov to counter short term memories and the efforts of fox et al, home grown supremecists, 1%ers,
the ignorant and stupids, his fellow greedy narcissists and the corrosive influence of certain foreign dictators.
Other than that, bring on the happy talk.

Trump may not be able to fire Fauci for no reason, in a fit of pique as it were, but he can indeed make shit up and blame Fauci for it, then fire him.

I think we’re seeing the beginnings of that move.

  6. If the statements Fauci were “Nothing to worry about”, it was because that was what he was TOLD to say. Given the “Red Dawn” email exchanges^ which included top scientists, how could Fauci NOT know know what the potential disaster coming could be? It’s literally been his job since the Reagan era.

One wonders how much of Boss Tweet’s insistence for such statements were part of a plan to divert blame onto his subordinates…

If we are going to fire everybody who told us not to worry, let’s start with Trump.

  8. charles phillips says:

Reuters just quoted the WH saying Trump is not firing Fauci.

I guess 24-36 hours before he goes.

  9. In just a few minutes, the governors of CT, NY, NJ, PA, RI and DE are doing just that- a televised conference call.

  10. slipstream says:

charles phillips, you are so right. If Trump says he is not going to fire someone, he’s about to fire that person.

  11. maryelle says:

Drumpf doesn’t need to fire Fauci, just muzzle him, exclude him from those god awful pat-himself- on-the-back press conferences. But that might be a good thing if Fauci ends up on Gov. Cuomo’s reports. Dr. Fauci must cringe every time he has to appear with Drumpf.
