RNC Paying Hope Hicks’ Lawyers
So, the RNC is now so corrupted by Trump’s control that it is now using donor dollars to pay lawyers to obstruct justice by interfering with Congressional investigations. That’s right, Teabaggers – your money is being used to violate your precious Constitution into order to protect your spray painted tribal chief. Along with that, WH lawyers paid with your taxes are also actively helping Trump violate his duty to protect and defend the Constitution in order to hide his crimes from the Congress.
During Hope Hicks non-testimony testimony this week in a closed door session with the House Judiciary Committee, US government paid lawyers objected to every question from the committee, even including her office location in the West Wing. Trump’s lawyer, Pat Cipollone, even told Congress that Hicks has “absolute immunity” from testifying before Congress, a legal condition that simply doesn’t exist and is being laughed at by legal and ethics experts. Clearly, Trump believes the courts are so packed with corrupt radicals that they’ll rule in his favor. I don’t believe that when it goes there, SCOTUS (even with its corrupt justices like Alito, Thomas, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch) won’t go there. John Roberts may be a conservative and somewhat corrupted, he is still true to the Constitution and will rule correctly.
I predict this one won’t end well for Ms. Hicks, and in the end, she’ll pay dearly for her silence and her loyalty to Trump.
Conflict of interest, obstruction of justice … where to begin…
Where I won’t begin is by concern trolling for Hope Hicks who with all this free legal advice is about to learn the true meaning of “you get what you pay for.” Ironic, too, that the white lady is about to learn what every black token in or near the Republicon party should have learned. Throw in the misogynist trope about nice legs, a pretty face, and see how far that takes you in a court of law. Have a nice day, Ms. Hicks.
1Their obstruction in plain sight is jaw-dropping. Among the lawyers representing Hicks in this charade were two from the Department of Justice, which has no business being involved.
2The whole thing is blatantly illegal and those involved should suffer serious consequences, including AG Barr.
@ maryelle (2) “Obstruction in plain sight” pretty much covers it. On Rachel Maddow’s program last night, she talked about the transcript of Hope Hicks’ testimony and described how the DOJ lawyers as well as Ms. Hick’s own were doing their best to smother it. I began to wonder how much longer Nancy Pelosi is going to let this go on. The NSGOP declared war on the rest of the nation years ago, so when will the real patriots who actually care about the constitution and our form of government begin to fight back?
3John Roberts may be a conservative and somewhat corrupted, he is still true to the Constitution and will rule correctly. ?????
4Have we reached peak obstruction in the Trump Administration? Lawyers for the witness now object when simple logistical questions are posed, thereby obstructing an inquiry into possible obstruction?
Next time the House Judiciary Committee meets with one of these Administration blockades they should have “Everybody Has Something To Hid ‘Cept For Me And My Monkey” by the Beatles cued up and ready for the hearing’s intermission theme song.
5Ms. Hicks may just find out what Mikey Cohen did, that out-of-sight = out-of-mind to dear Donnie, even for former models. Maybe she’ll inspire the Orange Is the New Black makers to film another season, centering on a new inmate who is a fading model with bus tire marks on her back from where her former boss defenestrated her into the bus lane to escape justice himself.
6Can’t New York arrest her and send her to rikers for a week while she awaits arraignment.
7I suspect that she would spill on everything when deprived of her blush, lipstick and other accourtments of a female who chooses to be servant to the rich and powerful men.
Please be clear I do not accuse all women of this weakness. Just those like ms hicks who give hookers a bad name.
On other legal matters the Conn. Judge over seeing the alex jones case is receiving death threats from jone’s minions from his digital septic system he calls a site.
8Gee I wonder how that judge will feel with alex’s inane babbleing next day in court?
