I Bring You Good Tidings of Great Joy

Okay, I’m home.  Mark is pleased with the hearings on both days, but if the judge doesn’t, Mark will appeal. I know this child and I can guaran-damn-tee you that he’s persistent.

The first thing I was greeted with this morning is that the liberal donation organization that I use to raise money just broke all records.  Act Blue (where you donated for the ballot by mail program) says they have already hit their all-time fundraising mark this election cycle of one billion – with a damn B – dollars.

The group predicts donations will top $1.5 billion by year’s end, double the amount the fundraising clearinghouse processed in the 2016 election cycle. By comparison, it took ActBlue nearly 12 years — from its founding in June 2004 until March 2016 — to raise its first $1 billion.

The average donation this cycle: $34.

Small donations are funding the resistance.

And you had something to do with that.

  1. I am so proud of your son. Those families have been through hell because of Alex Jones and his conspiracy theories. I hope the judge does the right thing and finds for the plaintiffs. Jones needs to crawl back into his grubby little hole and disappear.

Mother Bankston! Appeal? Really?! Not unless the judge was asleep during the ‘defense’ presentation which was in essence: “How odious is Alex Jones? So odious that we brought him to you on tape and NOT in person.”

Seriously. If the judge “missed” that portion of the ‘defense,’ the grounds for appeal should be the judge was comatose level asleep, if that screaming ‘defense’ did knock him out of his slumber. Outside the courtroom and nearly 2000 miles distant we “heard” that.

  3. All digits – and I mean all – are crossed for a positive outcome of this case. Translation: since my toes are all crossed, I am discontinuing housework for today.

You raised him good! I am hoping and praying the judge thinks so, too.

  5. You had a bit more to do with it! Thanks.
And best of luck to Mark with his smiting.

  6. So glad to hear all your good news…both Mark’s case and Act Blue’s success. We don’t get enough good news these days to balance out the nightmare news.

I hope the judge is not a hard right conservative and is therefore able to listen to reason and draw the right conclusion. That’s the dangerous variable in this equation.

If not, time to push for Jone’s insurance company to drop him.
sounds like a boycott is coming.

  8. Double good news– Act Blue and the screaming mimi.

Maggie, I’ve got my eyes crossed too.

  9. Linda Phipps says:

Off topic, mushybrain Susan Collins won’t quiz Kavanaugh about his stance on Roe, because not enough people have called her. Drown her in blue.

  10. First a confession. I am a trial lawyer. Now observation. Nothing is quite like a good trial lawyer with good facts and good clients. Close to a work of art. I have watched some good ones over the years and I am always amazed at how some conduct a trial like you would conduct an orchestra. Juries respond to that.
