Wait, Wait!

Yesterday, Paul Ryan, who was in Beverly Hills, California, at the annual Milken Institute Global Conference, warned of some real dire stuff.

Should Republicans lose control of either the House or Senate, “you’ll have gridlock, you’ll have subpoenas,” with the whole legislative system “shutting down,” Ryan said.

Mr. Ryan, please allow me to introduce you to Devin Nunes.

Second, isn’t that exactly what Trump campaigned on.  I mean, hell cowboy, that was the one campaign promise he kept.

Third, that doesn’t seem to be a such a bad idea considering Trump continues to select our judicial system with all the intelligence and selectivity that he used for every damn cabinet member.

Fourth, oh hell, there’s about twenty reasons but I’ve gotta stop what I’m doing just like everybody else in DeeCee to see what the hell Trump’s tweeting about now.

How fitting that Ryan is speaking at a “think tank” created by one of the OG white collar crooks Michael Milken.
Money can buy you anything in America, but it can’t make me forget this Reagan era crook.

It always cracks me up when Republicans whine about other people using the GOP’s own playbook.

  3. Hmm Michael “Junk Paper” Milken.

Forbes says he’s worth 2 billion today. Did the USofA collect in full on the 600 million he was fined?

Oh and as an American, he owes me 8 years in Club Fed. He didn’t do enough to earn that 8 years off his 10 year sentence.

His barring from the securities industry should have barred his personal participation as well, either directly or indirectly, even in a blind trust.

    Yea I hate the guy

  4. Birds of a feather and all that. Milken Institute?!?!

  5. Ryan? Paul? Yeah, that guy. The one who does not want to be a weekend daddy any more so he is quitting the House. So What the bleep was he doing out in CA? Well, he is eyeing an afterlife come Election Day this year. Where he went is a great place to meet and great your future piggy banks. Translation: family be damned. He is not going to completely give up on the D.C. scene.

It amazes me when a Republican says stuff like this. I always expect them to look aghast and say, “OMG! Did you hear me say that? That was supposed to be my inside voice!”

After 8 years of Reps doing exactly what he is predicting while President Obama was in office, he is now oh-so-concerned for the country? If that were actually the case, HE would be the one blocking everything Trump is doing. And his cabinet, too.

And yes, Maggie. He plans to make full use of that revolving door that leads from Congress straight onto K Street. Because of course he is. He can work just as effectively from there to destroy the SSA and Medicare. And make more money doing it.

  7. You’ll have gridlock and the whole legislative system shutting down.

I’m sorry, I need to read that again. The TILT sign went up behind my eyes.

You mean we might get a Majority Leader of the Senate who repeatedly refuses to let bills with majority support reach the floor for a vote, and refuses to allow a president’s nominee for SCOTUS be considered for a year? Oh, let me clutch my pearls!
