Republicans Could Screw Up a One Car Parade
So one of the things Republicans did to try to get the Freedom Caucus to vote for Trumpcare was to produce some commercials they said they’d play in the the Freedom Caucus’ districts if they voted for Trumpcare.
For example:
Oh yeah, they screwed that up.
Republicans were humiliated twice on Friday. Once, for failing to replace the Barack Obama administration’s Affordable Care Act. Then a second time, for bragging that they did on national television just hours after they failed.
Ads that aired that night during national basketball games showered a handful of congressional Republicans with praise for “keeping their promise” on replacing the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. In reality, President Donald Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) pulled their “American Health Care Act” just minutes before a scheduled vote.
Yeah, they forgot to pull the ads.
And yeah, they still want us to trust them to do things right on tax reform.
When alternate facts meet alternate reality. Broadcast in living color, prime time.
Too bad for Republicans that viewers last night still had vision and hearing coverage.

2The one thing Tweety didn’t screw up was his finger-pointing. You know – when he pointed at the Democrats – the people he and Ryan didn’t consult, didn’t court, didn’t try, in any way, to bring into the fold? Those folks. The people who had nothing whatsoever to do with the bill BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT ASKED.
Yeah. They’re to blame.
If someone was writing a novel and included this stuff, the publisher would call and ask, “WTF are you doing? This cannot fly. No readers will believe it. Try again.”
3two crows, if Lyin’ Ryan ever passes anything out of the House other than air biscuits, Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) and her staff will need a d’oh think translator, pencil, calculators and a sledgehammer to pound it into an actual bill. Remember the last time Ryan wasted months on a ‘budget,’ then sent over blank pages that Senator Murray repaired in record time? When Ryan took a bow and a victory lap for HER success, he should have been taken to the Senate Ladies Washroom for a thorough scrubbing.

5I hope this serves as an example for any of the congressional democrats who are delusional enough to think they can work with/compromise with the Republicans: everything the republicans do is garbage and even if the democrats have absolutely nothing to do with it they will be blamed when the whole thing is shown to be a disaster. In this case everyone knows blaming the democrats is a total lie. So democrats stay the hell away from republicans and let them destroy themselves without your input. DO NOT TRY TO FIX ANYTHING THE REPUBLICANS CREATED – JUST VOTE NO.
Also anyone stupid enough to believe that what the republicans had put together would give you better healthcare (per the ad) rather than another tax break for the 1% should go back into their caves and bash themselves with the biggest boulder they can find.
6Meanwhile, 2/7 of the Donnie Monarchy are off skiing in Aspen with 100 Secret Service agents at our expense. Seems they took Donnie’s phone with them to lose in an avalanche. Nary a sputter out of the twitter toddler this morning.
That’s is so disappointing. I was seriously looking forward to Donnie sending out a picture of Lyin’ Ryan and an arrow pointing at it with the words: and he is supposed to be the “smart” snacilbupeR in the House.

7glf, Speaker Pelosi has been known to work some incredible whip miracles, but even she would be hard pressed to find 30-40 Democratic colleagues in the House to accompany her on a suicide mission to rescue Lyin Ryan from the Freedumb Caucus.

As much as I objected to snacilbupeR no-bloc votes when they were the minority party, I have come to suspect that only in so doing will Dems now defeat this snacilbupeR party that has the 2008-present Tea Party movement at its core.
Even the snacilbupeR have said it is much easier to be the minority and say “No” to everything than it is to be the party in power and have to take the point and produce useful legislation. 25Congresswoman Comstock (an R in Northern VA) is all ruffled and pouty over the fact that one of those stupid thank you posters thanked her. She voted AGAINST Trump care. Can well understand why she is so pissed off.
26I passed half a cheese sandwich out my nose when I saw the Greg Walden ad of the same ilk. This little piece of doo-doo is the only R member of Congress from The People’s Republic of Oregon, and his constituents are some of those he would hurt the worst. This lying, cheating phlemwad actually was one of the chief architect of Trumpcare. I hope he gets an earful at his next town hall…if he dares have one.
