Yes, He Said That. Yes, Out Loud.
White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney went on “Face the Nation” this morning and explained sacrifice to us all.
Mulvaney agreed that he knew the bill would hurt children and prevent them from having access to nutritional food from organizations like Meals on Wheels, but he wants people to know he’s suffering too.
“Yes,” he began. “I don’t have a business card to give to you today, John, because, at the Office of Management and Budget, we have to pay for our own business cards. So it does start at home but it’s already started.”
Seriously. Let them eat business cards.
Start at about time 5:15.
Yeah, he learned all that slick from being a member of congress.
The New York Times researched his claims that Meals on Wheels and educational programs don’t work. They found that he’s a damn fool.
Thanks to Charles for the heads up.
Do some math, Mickey. If Donnie and his horde of moochers gave up their multiple residences and trips that are funded by taxpayers for their security and privileged transport, their monthly expenses are nearly equal to what it costs to fund food for children and seniors for an entire year.
Or, take your whine to Lyin’ Ryan and discover his proclivity for bottles of wine that would feed a family of four for a month. That would be ONE bottle, Mickey, although it’s doubtful he limits himself to one bottle a month.
Belt tightening? Take that meme over to the Pentagon and ask them the last time they submitted an accountable budget.
1Dean Obeidallah nailed it calling trump Marie Antoinette

There are no words to describe what an awful thing he is — can no longer call him human.
2Mick was the kind of Boy Scout who would help the old lady into the middle of the street and run away.
3Maybe he doesn’t have a card because the OMB won’t print one that just says asshole on it. Sorry Momma, somebody had to say it.
4Worked as an attorney and in his daddy’s business. Just like Drumpf. Talk about a society of entitlement.
5While the Large Orange One is golfing in FL, his brood is here in Aspen, CO spending MORE of OUR money! Only the rich can afford to party in Aspen!!
6I’ll bet his primary care physician is a proctologist…
7Things are different when GOPers are president. Orrin Hatch said so when he said, “Republicans never worry about the deficit when we’re in control.”
8Wally Plahutnik wins today!

So do the dispensaries offer a First Family Discount? Asking for a friend with an inquiring mind.
10He may have to pay for his own business cards, but on his salary, he can afford them.
So that’s the best comparison he can draw between hungry children (without a salary) and administration budget cuts effects on his department?
I’d say apples and oranges, but it’s more like apples and nothing.
11It’s hard to quantify the level of cluelessness amid Orange Whore’s soulless gang of thieves.

13Looking for the silver lining here: the modern-day version of snacilbupeR (meaning Newtie’s version) always, always, always overreaches and make everybody mad at them.
I happen to believe that the Meals on Wheels debacle has ruined the entire lot of them and that they will be unable to get anything passed. Payback will come on November 2018.
14Tell you what, Mick, you give up eating one or two meals a day and I’ll pony up for some business cards for you.
15Think about this for a moment:
“Yes,” he began. “I don’t have a business card to give to you today, John, because, at the Office of Management and Budget, we have to pay for our own business cards. So it does start at home but it’s already started.”
This worthless POS wouldn’t dream of spending $10-20 out of his own wallet to buy a box of business cards to facilitate conducting the OMB’s business, his job as head of it. Perhaps there is now some official spending restriction on items like this, he probably wrote them, so he could play a ‘victim’ (at work we had pretty strict expense guidelines for vouchering, etc., but the co. did pay for the fancy logo’ed biz cards; some other things were more discretionary- within reason- heheh.) .
Now think of all the people like school teachers who sometimes selflessly buy classroom materials and supplies for their young students, from their own possibly stretched salary. And all the good people who volunteer and donate to worthy causes.
The comparison is retched.
Think about whether you would have wanted to work with, or serve with, a malingering SOB like Mr. Mulvaney (who is oohh so true to ‘R” type, it’s got to be genetic, eh?).
16Just imagine Mulvaney ‘covering’ your back in a combat situation, yeah, riigghhtt. The bastard would really inspire some huuuge confidence in his team/crewmates, suuure. This mofo would be prime fragging bait in that enviro.
The irony being that, annual funding for Meals on Wheels, Public Broadcasting, the National Endowment for the Arts, and a number of other vulnerable programs cost the average taxpayer LESS per year than a box of business cards costs.
These sociopathic grifters have no concept of how much damage this vindictive IMmoral document of a budget will cost. Or worse, maybe they do know, and are just that twisted and sadistic.
17Yes, I heard that, too, on Sunday morning. I thought the guy was being snarky as hell. His come-uppense awaits him.
18What a condescending S-B
I had to buy bandaids, paper cups, soap etc for students in my school from about March on ( when my budget ran out) when I was a school nurse.
Ask any public school teacher how much they spend before and during the school year and this S-B is complaining about business cards?
Drain the swamp, starting with this guy!
19If Mickey gives up his iPhone (~$650 for low-end model 7), he could have about 38,000 business cards at $8.50 for 500.
How many business cards does it cost for a colonoscopy?
20One F-35 costs between $85 million to fully-loaded at $135 million. We could fund all the socially beneficial programs by cutting a few of these.
We could also save a lot of lives by not turning our children into targets.
TFP.
21It is far more probable that they have to bring their own toilet paper from home. Liars just can’t help themselves.
22Huh. Shameless. Speaking of bathroom issues, I don’t bring my own TP but I dry my hands on my jeans rather than use paper towels from GP (privately owned by Koch brothers).
