Where’s the Outrage?
See the image above of Cheeto Jesus insulting the press and Democrats giving a speech to CIA staff on Saturday. Notice anything missing? That’s right, NO FLAG PIN. I have been scouring the internets this morning, especially the right wing sites just hoping for the outrage to come spewing forth. However, all I’m finding is this:
Can you imagine the howling if President Obama had left his flag pin at home? Just like the silly calls for “unity” and “give the president a chance” mantras, the rules change radically for the right when their guy is in office.
El Jefe, Donnie in his truthiness, alternative facts or whatever dervish spin Kellyanne will provide today and tomorrow is essentially a liar 80+% of the time.
But, or maybe more appropriately butt as regards the twitter toddler, accept one truth from Donnie. It’s a seriously ugly truth. When he said he could “shoot someone on 5th and his supporters wouldn’t care” he had that right.
Meanwhile, big voice and little balls McCain and Graham have folded. Following this money trail is akin to riding a tornado in a tea cup.
Absence of a flag pin? Puh-leeze. Donnie has admitted to sexual assault, raped a wife, cheated on three wives. Meh. Donnie has dissed most of what the evangelicals hold dear. Meh. Donnie bromances Putin and the war hawks are cooing like placated pigeons.
There’s a whole lot of ca-ca-ching going on.
1The pin was probably so ashamed of itself that it withered up and fell off.
2They couldn’t find tape for his tie so they decided to use the pin?
3Maybe all of the pins he had were bugged?
4Melania didn’t put her hand over her heart during the pledge of Alligiance. McCain is someone’s finger puppet as is Rubio and of course, Rump.
5No flag pin at the inauguration either. Republicans would have gone nuts if Obama had done that.
6The flag pin is hanging out with the bust of MLK and other invisibility-cloak-wearing Trump Supporters.
7Bet it wouldn’t stay upright on his lapel for love nor money (hi Linda Phipps, still thinking bout that bumper sticker of yours!)
8Have you noticed, he doesn’t wear a wedding ring either.
9The outrage is at the CIA. Apparently this is only the 3rd presidential speech in the Hall — W. gave one there, BHO gave one there after bin Laden was killed, and now Trump has given one there.
Per the WaPo, making a political speech there and bringing in shills for applause deeply offended a great many CIA people, to whom the Hall is a shrine for fallen CIA agents. As in, how veterans might feel if CJ sponsored Kids’ Day with clowns and waterslides at Arlington National Cemetery.
