It is a sad day in America when TicTacs has to clear their good name.
And when Rudy Giuliani goes on Meet the Press this morning and his best defense of Trump is that Trump “could have just been exaggerating” when he bragged about sexual assault.
“Whether it happened or not, I don’t know,” he said. “I do know there’s a tendency on the part of some men at different times to exaggerate things like this, and I’m not in any way trying to excuse it or condone it.”
Wink, wink. You know, like he exaggerates his wealth and intelligence.
And it’s sad for Ted Cruz, the man who jumped on the Trump ship as every other rat was jumping off. Now he’s got to jump back off after having wasted a whole day phone banking for Trump.

Though the surprise is not so much Trump’s gross character as the fact that the media are actually talking about it.

This night is her’s to win. The only unknown is whether it will be a big or small win.

10Chuck Todd used an admittedly outdated U.S. electoral map on his show today. Heck, it was outdated by 5 PM Friday! Even that map showed a big difference in favor of Hill after the debate and after the “revelation” of Trump’s tax return. The audio tape was the bottom falling out. I’m betting there will be people in the town hall audience who will be really, really rough on Trump. How he handles that will be damned interesting!
11OT (a bit): Mart Matalin said on tv today that Trump’s comments were just “locker room talk”. This raises some interesting questions:
1. How often and for how long do you hangout in men’s locker rooms?
2. Are you hearing these kinds of comments in women’s locker rooms? (OMG!)
Talking points, Mary, should have some thought put into them, don’t you think?

Back when the Rescummies and Ken Starr were busy impeaching Bill Clinton, my youngest daughters were ~9-10 and 11-12 years old.
All that stuff the Repricks like to drag out was in the news 24/7 and we couldn’t avoid it on the TV or radio. If it wasn’t on an actual program, there were promo spots for the next chunk coming up.
I assume the girls were fairly innocent types prior to all that slime oozing everywhere (their mom is fairly devout in her faith), but we could tell the avalanche of (IMO) unnecessary filth in the media was getting through (at school or whatever– a parochial one too- Episcopalian/Anglican).
I developed an intense dislike for R’s after that. Might be the wrong word now…
There was no other reason for it other than to “get Clinton any way we can”. As others have pointed out, there is no equivalency between WJC’s transgressions and those of DJT.
And yet in watching the Repuke’s B-team (A-team plotting in the bunkers?) hitting the Sunday political shows today, they were a bit subdued, but still swinging out like they could turn it around.
Giuliani, Matalin, Castellanos, etc., spinning and slimeing as fast as they can (Matalin looked like a freshly unearthed zombie, Castellanos wasn’t near as smug as usual, Guiliani not near as frenetic; they know damned well the GOP Reaper is near).

I’m waiting to see the new R campaign signs, the ones where Pence is on top and in the (much) larger typeface.

17Oh how the mouthy have fallen. You Cruz you lose. Trump Taj Mahal closed its doors today. Drumpf no longer had any ownership in it because bankruptcies and bad management decisions.
Before last night’s Drumpf debacle, HRC was trailing Drumpf in iowa by 4 points. People in iowa claim she just isn’t to be trusted. Say what?
