Let Us Pray

September 12, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Y’all, we need to pray for Michele Bachmann.  Bless her heart, she can smell the bacon but she can’t find the breakfast table.

Now she preaching that Hillary is gonna tax churches and non-profits.

Hillary ain’t gonna do that but it should have been done a long time ago.

We will see a heightened level, I believe, of vindication coming out of a Hillary Clinton White House, where I believe there will be prosecutions for churches, for nonprofits, for anyone that opposes the Hillary Clinton agenda. Open your eyes.

I don’t think vindication means what she thinks it means.  But, hell, nobody in the audience at the Value Voters Summit knows what it means either.

She also said that if you vote for Clinton, you will surely die.

It will either be Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, one of the two, and just like the Book of Deuteronomy teaches us that: I have set before you life and death, which will you choose?

Yeah, there definitely needs to be crap tax.

Thanks to Bunny for the heads up.

Be social and share!

Barbra Streisand had a few words for Donnie. It’s a message that one “l” Michele and two “r” Sharron should heed.

  2. Churches have chosen to get into politics. Time to tax them!

    2
  3. I’m fine with non-profit charities not being taxed (as long as they are okay with being audited to make sure the money’s going where it should), but that’s it.

There is no reason why I and other taxpayers should have to subsidize religious activities, buildings or other stuff. It’s their religion–they should pay for it.

    3
  4. I think the whole ax-exempt thing came about bevies of separation of church state, BUT the churches were supposed to preach their gospel, not deliver campaign speeches for candidates. The evangelicals especially, want to be in charge of government, and the Catholic Bishops, of course. I think the land should be taxed. My medium size town has 65 ‘churches’ sitting on land that is not taxed. Meanwhile, due to GOPs in charge of the statehouse, schools are being squeezed, teachers giving up benefits and pay raises, firemen fired…and no roads, no ew bridges..just more largesses toward GOP donors and more hatred of women and minorities and the elderly, whose pensions are now taxed, even though we paid taxes on that money as it was earned.
    Vote BLUE. Save us!!

    4
  5. So is it true that Drumpf is the love child of Louie Gohmert and Michele Bachmann? Just asking. Now try to get that picture out of your mind.

    5
  6. Bob in Bartlett says:

I have no problems with churches being tax exempt – as long as they keep their noses, and sermons, out of politics. As far as I am concerned, if your church wants to engage in political discourse then that church just gave up its tax exempt status, it’s just one more political organization like the Chamber of Commerce or the People for the American Way.

    6
  7. RastyBob: “love child” of Louie Gohmert and Michele Bachmann? I can’t imagine love being present in either of those beings.

Michele seems to be the best argument around for taxing churches: if she’s gonna to talk politics in ’em, they can pay the freight.

    7
  8. One can only assume she meant vindictiveness.
Could somebody show me why we don’t tax churches? I believe the first amendment says the government cannot establish a religion (which the rethugs have been trying to do for years) but if they can tax me on property I own outright (house and car) every year, why can’t they tax a business like a church?

    8
  9. Henry David Thoreau said that he didn’t see why the teacher should be taxed to support the preacher but not the other way around.

If they take political positions and tell their people that they’ll go to hell if they vote for the Democrat (or the Republican), tax their butts. Some of them have openly, and with announcements of the fact, defied the IRS and gotten away with it repeatedly. And I don’t think whoever decided not to tax churches had in mind those mega-monstrosities and TV preachers with their own private jets.

    9
  10. John in Illinois says:

    Ummmm………Michelle?

“We will see a heightened level, I believe, of vindication coming out of a Hillary Clinton White House…”

Couldn’t agree with you more, but what you said is probably not what you meant.

    Vindictiveness, perhaps?

    10
  11. Whether they are in politics or not. They are basically dishonest, so they should be taxed or registered just as any charity is and MUST show what they are doing!!! The quickest way to get me to think you are a crook is to call yourself religious charity!!! Only criminals want to be treated special, Ya that includes the crooks in charge of the USA!!!

    11
  12. Non profits should be taxed if they do not provide a credible audit. Churches should be taxed. Period. I know of friends who started a church in Florida and do do good work for the homeless as well. However, they are raking in a fortune and have a very nice retirement “cabin” in Arkansas, if that is possible. Bikers who smoke pot daily, get moonshine from back home in ‘tucky and speak “God” stuff pretty much most of the time when they aren’t raisin’ money….. they are an emerging ministry with no formal education and just dumb/smart enough to carry it off.
Sometimes I wish I had thought of that, but I am too scared of getting my ankles burned up again from the bike’s exhaust pipes. My legs aren’t very long.
Michele’s problem is she is an attention whore who just happens to have a LLM designation which is very challenging to obtain, so why is she so dumb? She continually needs crowd rap as Marcus does not provide much companionship if you know what I mean. He does shop for all of her clothing and accessories and I must say, has impeccable taste.
The Bachmann’s have been enjoying their subsidies for their 1M home, their inherited farmland, and Marcus’ illegitimate “pray the gay away” counseling business. So just shut up already Michele. (with one “l.”) Polite Kool Marxist!
I can say that REAL loud ’cause Michele lives three counties up from me. Thank my lord and pass the ammunition.
And like truly fake neighboring state to Texas “Pioneer Woman” does at the end of her truly cutesy recipe posts:

    Amen.

    12
  13. The definitive phrase of this post was “Michele Bachmann. Bless her heart,”

I’ll definitely include old Michele in my prayers for our country, as an example of what I’m talkin’ about.

  14. JAKvirginia says:

To all people: Can we stop with the “Clinton will do” or “Trump will do” crap. We do not elect emperors. There’s this thing we have called Congress. They do the lawmaking. If you don’t know that you shouldn’t vote.

    14
  15. Pancho Sanza says:

“We will see a heightened level, I believe, of vindication coming out of a Hillary Clinton White House”

vindication? I believe the word you are looking for is Vagenda of Manocide.

    15
  16. I’m a Unitarian Universalist. Our congregation barely squeaks by and our minister is not wealthy. We focus a lot of our energy and funds on Social Justice and follow the rules about not endorsing from the pulpit.

I get the argument for taxing churches, but some of us do follow the rules…

    16
  17. I, for one, would LOVE to see a heightened level of vindication coming out against these hypocritical, holier-than-thou grifters who fleece the poor, the un-educated and the elderly. Instead of Drumpf’s Deportation Force, there should be an Information Force, exposing the obscene incomes and their sources of these posturing religious hypocrites.

    17
  18. JAKvirginia, Congress USED to do the lawmaking. I haven’t seen much lawmaking out of Congress for years. We not only need to be praying for Hillary over Donnie, we need to be praying for the return of the blue in Congress. If Hillary wins and we still have the Rethugs running things in Congress, it’ll be another 4 years of same old same old nothing.

    18
  19. Tax organized religion. If you have income…render onto Cesar.

    19
  20. The power to tax is the power to destroy. John Marshall, first Chuef Justice. With separation of church and state, this is why there is no taxation of churches. Now, if they get political, I believe there are some statutes which apply.

    20
  21. I think she’s being prophetic with the life or death choice. Of course, she is a bit mixed up over who represents what.

    21
  22. Elizabeth Moon says:

Some churches do follow the law, and also do good. Some do not.

Dumping on all churches/religious entities for the sins of some is exactly the same reasoning as dumping on all Muslims because some are terrorists. “I don’t like those folks–get’m.” I respectfully suggest that you refrain from doing that and judge the behavior of individuals rather than lump them all.

That being said, Michelle Bachman desperately needs someone to bless her heart, because right now she’s about as “Christian” in the real sense as a lump of charcoal in your stocking means Santa thinks you were good all year.

    22
  23. Susan on the Left Coast says:

A vile preacher man in NY, who refuses to pay his bills, court judgments or taxes….preaches politics colored with death to Conservatives’ victims. There is an effort to have his video removed from YouTube.

Says he: “America, we like our guns. We want to start shooting again. And Donald gives us the opportunity to feel like we can shoot again. Americans are tired of being pushed around by Muslims and Mexicans. Everywhere you look, the Muslims, the Mexicans. I mean, my God…. Americans are tired of it… We want to start shooting again. And Donald says we can shoot again. Shoot the Mexicans. Shoot the Muslims. Shoot the liberals. Shoot everybody.” – Pastor James David Manning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlqGgf0pw6U

    23
  24. JAKvirginia says:

Treehugger: Too true. But I just object to this “He or she will get it done” garbage. Like Donnie and his wall. Or deporting millions of people “on his first day”. What crap! Those are the words of a dictator not of an elected official cognizant of how our government works and our Constitution. We all need to speak out when tripe like that us said.

    24
  25. JAKvirginia says:

I don’t know to what degree religious institutions are taxed but I have no problem with them being assessed a property tax like any other property owner. They call the fire department if there’s a fire. They call the police if there’s a crime. They call the EMTs if there’s a medical need. These are all publicly paid for services, thus if they use/want them they need to pay for them like everyone else.

    25
  26. The existence of Michele Bachman vindicates voting for Hillary Clinton even though I never have before.

    26
  27. Yes, you are right, JAKvirginia. Donnie’s assertions that he will eradicate ISIS in 2 weeks, put everybody in America back to work in 6 months, etc., are beyond absurd. It’s the kind of thing you’d hear from a 3-year-old, which appears to be the mentality of his supporters as well. He has no clue how things work in government. Frankly, I think Michele inadvertently had it right. I am totally ready for vindication from a Hillary White House.

    27
  28. I’m all for taxing the churches, especially when they’re fancier than high end shops or housing. I own property in Texas and am convinced one reason for our crazy high taxes are because of all the property taken of the tax rolls when some church is set up.

Some churches are like the UUs, but they seem rare.

Conservatives love to talk smack about their opponents. That makes me proud to be a liberal.

    28
  29. Susan on the Left Coast, that “fake pastor” sounds evil.

Laurensd1, what county do you live in? I’m in Rice. Bachmann is in Washington or Anoka County, right? She’s so embarrassing to Minnesota. I thing the whole problem is that she was born in Iowa. She is Iowa’s fault!

    29
  30. “I have set before you life and death, which will you choose?”

you have zero choice to make. every organic creature is slowly dying from the moment of its conception, human beings included. granted, humans can positively/negatively affect their own personal longevity, by decisions made regarding lifestyle choices: eating well/exercising body and mind, use of drugs/alcohol wisely, etc. but, I doubt that’s what she’s looking for.

    30
  31. My sermon for the day: Everyone’s gonna die. I’m staying out of the taxes for churches and non-profits thing, I’ll just say, if they gonna take up space, they need to be useful to the community.
