Thank You, Mr. President

August 02, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

President Barack Obama on Tuesday in his strongest comments yet on Donald Trump said that the Republican nominee is “unfit” to be president, and is “woefully unprepared to do the job.”

Thank you for using your approval rating to do what you can to save this country.

  1. We are SO going to miss him!

If only the 2014 election hadn’t been tainted by people unfit to legislate…

President Obama understands the urgency of defeating the Drumpf virus. We observed it at the DNC convention which was a “who’s who” of Democratic leadership with a broad coalition representing every person in America who has been effected by snacilbupeR obstructionism.

At the RNC we saw a gaggle of loose ends and scattered minds. Having defeated 16 of their ‘finest’ (throwing up in my mouth) the stage ended with Donnie, as did the future of the snacilbupeR Party.

Eight too long years of Dubya followed by President Obama cleaning up that unholy hot mess. So, it comes as no surprise that the snacilbupeR are stuck with Donnie Drumpf as their candidate. Nor is it a shocker the snacilbupeR were totally ineffective in preventing the Drumpf disaster and have left it to Democrats to clean up that mess, too.

  3. Drumpf is the Repub. Base. He is saying out loud what they all say when they think no one can hear.

The scary part is that it’s like John Oliver’s picture of stepping on one nail vs. stepping on a whole bunch at once — the collective idiocy is mind-numbing. Meanwhile, the more outrage that is shown when he says the next idiotic thing becomes joy juice to his followers because they love to see “the libtards” get upset.

  5. Someone had to say “Trump is not fit to hold the office”.

    President Obama……. said it.

    Thank You. Mr. President.

And the sky is blue. Water is wet. Snow is cold. Fire is hot. Trump is nuts. Write these down! They could be useful later.

    Thank you, Captain Obvious (JAKvirginia).
I’m trying to imagine what might happen if the RKlan did abandon Drumpf. Would they vote for Gary Johnson so that the election would end up being decided by the Republican House?
Would they have a write-in candidate? Pence, Cruz, Jeb?
    That might be even scarier.
Would they bite the bullet and vote for Hillary?
That would make too much sense.

  8. nothing like restating the blatantly obvious. but hey, if you’re the prez., people (well, some people, the smart ones.) are going to listen, hopefully. I await the next whine from Trump, complaining that Pres. Obama is out to get him, and is, even now, replacing the president and deans of the electoral college, putting in people who support HRC.

you do have to wonder what drugs Trump is on lately. or, has he always been this much of a nut job, but it wasn’t as noticeable, because we weren’t all paying attention to him as much or for as long?

  9. Rastybob, #3 is exactly right.

I feel no sympathy for the snacilbupeR. This is exactly what they’ve built. The Cock Brothers are trying to play as if they’re sane, real Americans and not supporting Scumpf, while throwing money at continuing to f**k up the states. Nah, Scumpf and the minions belong to them as much as they own Snot Wanker, Mike Pus and others.

This is the exact same character he played during the Wrestlemania period. A rude, crude, aggressive bully and champion braggart. In the terminology, he was a heel. Then and now.

President Obama is everything president should be. Little twitty trumpers is exactly what a president or any leader should not be. There isn’t any point in listing his qualifications to be a loser, he shows them every day. Loser, loser, LOSER!

  12. Bob in Bartlett says:

Maryelle, the clear – but difficult – answer to your concern is to take back enough of the House so that there are Democratic majorities in Congress from at least 26 states. The rule is that in a contested election where no candidate gets a majority of electoral vote The House of Representatives decides, but it’s done on a state by state basis, so each state gets one vote, regardless of the number of Representatives elected from that state, in making the decision as to who will be President. Within each state’s delegation presumably which ever party had the most members would get to decide which candidate that state voted for.

This is what should have happened in the 2000 election if Florida had not been able to decide who won that state but, of course, the late Mr. Strict Constructionist and his right wing buddies on the USSC had to intervene and give the election to Shrub.

But I don’t think this will be an issue. The number of electoral votes represented by the current “Blue” states is pretty close to 270. This would be states like California or Oregon, etc. In your scenario, states like Virginia, so-called “Purple” states, will most likely still go to Hillary even if she doesn’t get a clear majority because the right wing vote would be split between Drumpf and Johnson.
This not to say that we can sit back and rest on our hands. We need to get an LBJ-like win (LBJ got over 500 of the 538 electoral votes in 1964) so as to discourage any future Drumpf clones that might be tempted to run.

(Excuse me while I put my soap box away)
