Donald J Trump wants his finger on the nuclear button. How do we know he’s not going to shoot down migrating swallows thinking it’s a North Korea attack.

1Curious note- Dems mentioned Islamic state 2 more times than wingnuts. Drumpf did not mention ISIL once at his convention.
2I just put the debates on my calendar a few days ago and never considered they might conflict with NFL games. Guessing this is his opening gambit towards skipping all the debates. The only time I pay attention to game dates is when I put UT home games in my calendar so I know when to avoid going any further south on I-35 than 51st Street to avoid the traffic snarls around the stadium.
3He’s just laying the groundwork to wiggle out of debating Hillary.
4My priority would be the “Tramplethinskins” events.
5So soon? Earlier this morning had a “vision” of Donnie being decimated by Hilz in debate #1 to such an extent that the “thin skinned short fingered vulgarian”* would be seeking ways to escape debates #2 and 3. Now it appears little Donnie is setting up an escape route to weasel out of debate #1.
*So as not to pull a Melania, is it acceptable to use quotation marks without an attribution citation, since “thin skinned short fingered vulgarian” is somewhat of a ‘community’ pet name for Donnie?

14I’m waiting for someone to ask him about the Riverside South development on live TV. When our self-proclaimed master deal maker had the chance to play with the really big boys, he completely failed to broker the deal and lost out on a multi-billion dollar payout. He ended up selling out to a Hong Kong and Chinese consortium, and then sued them because he didn’t think that his payout was big enough.
So let’s see what happens when Hillary brings up his biggest failure publicly. His temper tantrum would be epic.

27I was eating breakfast this AM in my favorite neighborhood restaurant when a fully grown adult woman walked in wearing a Trump T-shirt. At first I actually thought she had lost a bet. The neighborhood is up to the eyeballs Democratic. Nope. As I overheard between her, the 3 kids, and the husband, he works for Trump! He wasn’t wearing any damn thing Trump but she got stuck with the T-shirt which just did not look good on her at all! Would have loved to have overheard more but after I finished my plate the restaurant needed my table.

actually, so is the NFL’s game schedule, in rough, outline form. they already know the game dates, and just fill in the teams after the Superbowl, because a team’s game schedule, outside of its division, is dependent on how well/poorly it did, in the previous season.

in a true case of irony, he’s probably right on this. he’s going to get his 40%, regardless of what he does/says. those people are lost to us in reality land. however, the 15% “undecided” (though how anyone, even at this point, could actually be “undecided”, remains a mystery to me), that he and HRC are targeting, will be affected by his debate performance. better to skip them, regardless of how bad it is for him, image wise, then to be torn to pieces in public, in front of millions of viewers, by HRC. sure, some of the “undecideds” might see this in a negative light, but it will be forgotten in 48 hours, guaranteed.

45The real problem is not the conflict with football, be thankful, Donnie, that the debates are not scheduled opposite Duck Dynasty.

His Trombies (Trump Zombies) don’t need to watch no stinkin’ debates. They already know how they’re gonna vote. They’re just missing a chance to scream at Hillary, up there on the TEEvee screen. Not worth missing the game.
Of course, it will hurt the ratings, which is always his primary concern.
47I’m not surprised at all that Trump doesn’t want to debate HRC. I’m sure someone’s pointed out to him (like some pundits have commented on) that his usual approach in debates–to interrupt and over-yell his opponents, will have a very negative effect against one opponent AND against a woman opponent.
It is fairly obvious that what makes Trump vibe is when he is syncing with the audience and building energy. Going for that narcissistic energy buzz is also what takes him quickly into his lies. As one pundit said he has two tells: repeating himself and “Believe/Trust me.” (I know someone out there is saying–no the tell is sound is coming out of his mouth.) He didn’t get that audience vibe in the prior debates and so was seen as doing poorly in them. That won’t change with the next debates either.
The only thing that surprises me in this is that he didn’t actually blame Obama, just the Dems in general.
