They Admit It – Again!
It’s no secret at voter ID is meant to discourage voting among the young, the elderly, the poor, and minorities.
But, it’s supposed to be a secret, so now that another Republican tells the truth, we might as well hang a GO AWAY sign at every polling location.
Wisconsin congressman Glenn Grothman let the cat out of the bag and gave it some damn catnip.
“You know that a lot of Republicans, since 1984 in the presidential races, have not been able to win in Wisconsin,” Benson said. “Why would it be any different for Ted Cruz, or a Donald Trump?”
After explaining he thought Hillary Clinton would be a weak nominee for the Democrats, Grothman said “now we have photo ID, and I think photo ID is gonna make a little bit of a difference as well.”
Little bit? Is that all you’re hoping for? Silly boy.
Four years ago when One Term Tom Corbett was our Governor he tried to ram through a VoterID law and at least one Republican was honest enough to claim that it would deliver Pennsytucky’s votes in the Electoral College to Romney. It was never put to the test because the state court threw down on the VoterID law and now no one is asking anyone here for an ID — unless it is the first time that they have voted in that precinct.
1“Silly boy.” That says it all, Miss Juanita Jean. The snacilbupeR will not win elections by trimming Democratic voters. Unlike their voters, we are smart enough to obtain IDs and assist others in obtaining ID while waiting for the courts to rule on voter suppression efforts.
The Wisconsin results are a good example of the ‘now what?’ facing the snacilbupeR. They managed to slow down Donnie Drumpf, but failed to frame a game plan as to what they will do with the Loathsome Ted problem created in that process.
Voters? The snacilbupeR will need more than stinking voters, if they don’t have any candidates to offer other than insane fascists and theocratic lunatics.
2Here’s Samantha Bee to explain that candidate problem facing the snacilbupeR. She already dismantled any pretense of ALEC Ksuchasheis masquerading as a moderate. Listen up, Reince. This is what Loathsome Ted brings to the table: http://crooksandliars.com/2016/04/staycation-samantha-bee-takes-week-abort
3What if they redistrict and make new precincts? Do the folks have to rush around and dig up a birth certificate and get a new driver’s license or whatever?
4Everyone looks at possible redistricting every ten years. Texas is the only state I’ve heard of that does it when the snacilbuR in Austin need fewer of the wrong kind of voter to keep their jobs.
5The PA judge who stomped on the Repug Voter ID law in PA was Bernard L. McGinley and I’m proud to say I knew him when.
6The RKlan hypocrisy on this issue is criminal and the SCOTUS judges who gutted the Voting Rights Act (Roberts, Alito, Thomas and Kennedy) should hang their heads in shame. Scalia may be paying a higher price for his part in this injustice.
PKM, you’re forgetting about the one great asset the Republicans have — electronic voting machines manufactured by good Republican companies like Diebold and NCR. Those machines can be compromised easily without leaving a trace. Do you want the Republican candidates to win by 8 percentage points? Piece of cake, they’ll just modify the program and no-one will be the wiser because the modified program will erase itself at the end of the day..
7The only secure, honest way to record the vote is by pencil-marked paper ballots counted (and recounted, if necessary) by human beings.
@W. C. (Pete) Peterson
Beth Clarkson, an ASQ-certified quality engineer with a PhD in statistics generally agrees with you. She has spoke out and filed lawsuits since at least 2004ish.
8W. C. (Pete) Peterson, agreed. But all the dirty tricks of Diebold, NPR and magic disappearing boxes of ballots did the snacilbupeR no good in 2008 and 2012. Karl Rove was classic in his ‘disbelief’ that Ohio wasn’t a win for $Robmoney. They need all their suppression tricks, the SCROTUS, and a few Grubinators like Jebya to win.
Indubitably, the snacilbupeR bear careful watching. And, our best counter strategy remains “get out the vote.”
Micr, in addition to the lawsuits, let’s hope Ms. Clarkson has a program or two designed to keep them honest this year.
9W. C. (Pete) Peterson, that’s why Maryland has gone back to paper ballots as of this year.
10Good one maryelle: “Scalia may be paying a higher price for his part in this injustice.” That would be about right.
11They do it in Virginia too. Your handy dandy voter card isn’t enough anymore, even if you have been in the same precinct for 30 years.
12Wisconsin recently passed a law making it almost impossible to investigate and/or charge wingnuts with any malfeasance in office.
13Scalia got 280 paid for vacations in the last 12 years, paid for by people and korporations who had cases in front of him at one time or another. Including the ranch owner where Scalia died. He had a case last year and Scalia decided it in his favor.
14Kris Kobach, Sec. of State for Kansas, has been peddling his brand of KKKristianity in D.C. He is using an obscure little committee that is designed to assist states in holding elections to do his dirty deed; it is not cricket in his eyes to complete the federal election form when registering to vote. One must have a birth certificate (when was the last time you saw yours?), a passport (yeah, everyone has one, ya know) or a drivers license carrying a photo (not everybody drives a car) in order to simply get the federal form in person. All three of these Kobach requirements have led various courts to blow them down. The DOJ which is in charge of the obscure committee’s case absolutely refuses to defend said committee inasmuch as it has aided and abetted Kobach. The judge who got this mess in his lap cannot believe it, not just part of it, but the whole damn thing. An independent (?) investigation of voter fraud turned up on 37 possible cases in the entire country over the years. Kobach swears that illegals are being carted into his state to register with phony addresses, then carted back over state lines to wherever, then carted back again to vote in elections. Kobach has been around for a good while and is a guiding hand at FAIR. His claims over time have ranged well into the fantastical and what he asserts as proof doesn’t cut it with most judges. What does Kobach have on somebody in Kansas that they keep him around so long? Maybe its something in the water!

So in essence if the state allows primary switching Hillary & Trump won WI.
16http://heavy.com/news/2016/04/how-can-do-i-register-vote-wisconsin-democratic-republican-primary-2016/
“You’ve probably heard about states like New York and Arizona, where voters’ party affiliations were changed and they couldn’t vote in the primary. Wisconsin is an open primary. This means that as long as you’re registered to vote (and you can register at the polling station today), you can vote on any party’s ballot on primary day.”
Why Hillary & Trump would’ve won ‘X’ party sabotage defying the polls.
