Chris Christie and Other Children
Chris Christie is campaigning in New Hampshire, where he barely speaks the language. He gave a rambling answer to a question about which bathrooms transgendered children should use. Since he didn’t have an answer, he changed the topic from transgendered children to terrorism.
[He answered a question]… about which bathrooms transgender children should be allowed to use, saying that with the threat of terrorism “life is confusing enough” for children.
Yeah, transgendered bathrooms are confusing for children.
You know what else is confusing for children?
Math.
Math is confusing for children.
Childen are also confused about …
Who Miss Universe actually is.
How that whole bedtime thing works.
Is schlong an actual Yiddish word?
Why the hell did the Governor close my bridge when I needed to go to the bathroom? Any bathroom at all.
Thanks to Bryan for the heads up.
Yes, “Schlong” is a real Yiddish word. It’s a slang word for “Penis”. It is a noun, not a verb, and tRump used it incorrectly. What a surprise.
1The Outlaw Jersey Whale, Gov Cartman, is understandably confused. The size of the average bathroom door probably does seem like an act of terrorism to him.
2Christie’s labeling of President Obama as feckless and weak took some nerve, considering how grateful he seemed to be that the very same President’s immediate response to Hurricane Sandy’s devastation on the state of New Jersey was quick and deliberate. We are so lucky that the President is a deliberate and thoughtful man who does not rush to war when the R-Klan demands it.
3Great list Thanx.
4Speaking of feckless and weak…Chris Christie’s non-answer ranks him right up there. Not such a difficult question, Governor. Care to take another crack at ai?
5Dana Milbank in the WashPost gives Trump a delightful Yiddish beatdown:

6Life is confusing enough for Christie without any clues. Kids at least attempt to learn.
7Rhea, we thank you and my grandmother thanks you for the link to the Milbank article. There’s something special about Yiddish for expressing one’s disdain for such a tuches un a halb like T-Rump.
8PKM, Yiddish does have a great facility for calling a schmuck a schmuck. And a number of other things as well.
9Christie is frantically, hysterically attacking Obama to make up for that Hurricane Sandy photo-op. Forget it, Chris. You’re not going to make that disappear.
10Bitter Scribe, the Outlaw Jersey Whale, Gov Cartman owes the WORLD an apology for his picture in that baseball uniform.
(please, please, I beg everyone NOT to produce a link to that Cartman moment)
Rhea, thanks again. My Gram was delighted with your link. She forgives me for being a “lost” member of the Tribe. She’s still contemplating what punishment I deserve for speaking better German than I do Yiddish. She does have a point.
11Oh, Rhea, that column is hysterical and sure does put Trump where he belongs, the brunt of the Yiddish jokes. The quotes from the grandmother are laugh-out-loud funny and to the point.
12Please, what in the world would Christie have done if he and his wife had had a transgender child? Doesn’t anyone ever wonder about these things? Well, read FRIED GREEN TOMATOES and find out I guess.
13Maybe Gov. Cartman would have done the same as the parents of a trans son who recently suicided. They refused to acknowledge her femininity and forced her into some pseudo conversion/mental torture situation. Mommy and daddy continued to refuse to allow her to wear the appropriate feminine clothing and berated her for her “choices” until she finally ended their torment in the only way she had available. Even at her funeral, her parents referred to their “son” and swear they did the right and godly thing.
(This story was in Wapo, but I can’t find it.)
14Debbo, people who torment their own child to death nearly always do think they “did the right and godly thing.” A few turn into human beings.
15It sounds as though it isn’t the children who are confused but the Governor.
16Thanks for the WaPo link, Rhea. Er iz tsu klein to zayn a mensch, und tsu grosz to zayn a schmok. (He’s too small to be a man, and too big to be a prick.)
