Fun With Guns: Revolving Door Edition

October 20, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

A woman was checking her mother out of the hospital yesterday in East Texas.

The woman reached into her mother’s purse to retrieve some paperwork when she inadvertently pulled out the small-caliber handgun.

Authorities say the gun tumbled to the ground and discharged, sending a bullet through a wall and striking another patient who was also checking out.

They say that the victim’s wound is not life threatening.

In case you’re wondering where the good guy with a gun was during this incident, he was upstairs in surgery having is head pulled out of his butt.

  1. What now we learn that the walls of hospitals are NOT bulletproof? How imperceptive! How short-sighted!

Next time anyone sees an ammosexual, offer to throw their penis extension on the ground as a safety check.

??? Thought the idea of carrying was to have a weapon immediately available. Based on a random sample of 6, the last place I’d think to place a gun is in a woman’s handbag. Learned early on in marriage not to give the car keys to Jane for my convenience.

  3. Remember Ann Richards? And what she said about a woman carrying a weapon in her purse? She was pure gold!

  4. If only the doctors and nurses had been armed. As well as the administrative and janitorial staff.

  5. I am thinking of that poor patient trying to check out. Boom! Now they have to check right back in.

The old woman wanted the handsome male nurse to do a sexy striptease. At first he refused, but after she showed him the surprise in her purse — he danced!!

Shortly after we married my little bride and I were headed to a college rhythmic social ritual. Having been on the street just a while I still carried my 1911 everywhere. So I showed it to her and asked canya, willya stow this in your purse tonight? He precious little unforgettable answer was not only no but he77 no. Carry it yourownself Officer. She was definitely ahead of her time!

Micr, I hear you friend. If I ever had any delusions about using Jane as a pack mule, without a doubt she’d ‘gift’ me with one of those Euro-style purses for men. The ladies sure know how to train us and keep us in our places.

As for Grandma’s gun … why? Most women can sling a purse with brutal accuracy.

  9. Exactly, PKM, a purse can be a deadly weapon in and of itself.

  10. The toddler who shot & killed his mom in the Hayden Lake, ID Walmart pulled her gun out of her purse which was in the shopping cart in which he was riding. Not a safe place.

  11. It’s a shame more people then ever are getting shot and I’m thankful this tragic accident happened in a Hospital. We are a resilient civil society and it wont take long before we build Hospitals on every street corner in Texas to help relieve this growing problem.

  12. Had I been the victim, you’d still hear me cussin’ a blue streak!

  13. Maggie, is this the quote you are talking about?

“When asked if women might feel safer if they could carry guns in their purses, Richards replied, “Well, I’m not a sexist, but there is not a woman in this state who could find a gun in her handbag, much less a lipstick.”

I think Gov. Richards was awesome, but since I’m not a Texan, I don’t yet know all of her best lines.

  14. I didn’t remember what Ann Richards said about carrying a gun in one’s purse (she said hardly any woman could find it), so I looked up Ann Richards, gun, and purse. Sorry to find a number of sites selling purses specifically for concealed carry of guns. Loaded, of course, so they can go off any minute. I expect more stories like this one.

    14
  15. Not infrequently ammosexuals post about how they must have their guns in case of intruders so they can protect their families.

I have suggested that running away might be the best bet if at all possible, but the ASes just shoot me down. They insist that they must stand their ground and have their gunfight on site. They also apparently believe that bullets cannot go through walls and hit family members of neighbors.

One guy even insisted that he would just use bullets that wouldn’t go through walls. I think that would only be true for some walls if he threw the bullets. And I have no idea how he would get the home invaders to cooperate.
