Yeah, Because … Freedom
That’s the nice thing about Republicans, you don’t have to wait for an election before you call for impeachment.
Arkansas Alabama Republican Congressman Mo Brooks:
“In my judgement, with respect to Hillary Clinton, she will be a unique president if she is elected by the public next November,” he added. “Because the day she’s sworn in is the day that she’s subject to impeachment because she has committed high crimes and misdemeanors.”
Can we wait until after the Inaugural Balls or do we need to just haul her off the second she finishes the oath?
I wonder if they are already printing up new Impeach Clinton bumper stickers or just recycling the old ones?
(By the way, thank to Anna for getting everything working on the website in record time.)
Isn’t it an impeachable offense for a Democrat to be elected President? I’m sure I saw that in my special Tea Party edition of the Constitution…
1Mo Brooks?
2Wasn’t he “The Smart One” in the Three Stooges?
heyyyyy – leave Arkansas out of this (they’ve already got plenty to criticize). He’s actually from the rural top part of Aladamnbama.
3Clearly no relation to Mel Brooks, as he obviously has no sense of humor.
4You’re right, mollusk. I got so excited about the website being fixed that I moved Mo.
5Mo Brooks?! Please, please, please tell me that David Brooks doesn’t have a dumber brother.
6Naw Rick, this guy’s clearly a few IQ points below Moe. I think he’s more on par with Mr. Ed. There’s some resemblance too, don’t you think? Notice the hair color. But Mr. Ed was more clever.
7Ohhhhh Mo of Brooks. Remedial civics for you 5 years.
And BTW, Presidentin’ While Democrat is not a crime. Jeeeesh.
8@Debbo
Mr Ed could talk. Just sayin’.
9All I can say is: George W. Bush. Worst traitor in US history and second worse fascist in world history based on the number of people killed out of greed in the name of patriotism.
10if anybody needed impeaching before they were elected, it’s ken paxton.
11Dufii missed on the last Clinton to be elected President. Guess the little idiots think that if that start early this time, they’ll be successful.
Poor babies. Taking constitutional lessons from Michelle Bachmann was less productive than taking a dog for a constitutional walk, although with similar results.
As for “high crimes and misdemeanors” isn’t that what most Congressvarmints are committing.
12So,one has to put peanut butter on Mo’s teeth for him to move his lips and pretend to be talking? That is what I hear they done to Mr Ed. Good call.Debbo.
13**yawn**
I seem to recall pretty much exactly the same schpiel coming from the likes of this guy 8 years ago:
Impeach Obama and haul him off to prison for not being born here.
Impeach Chief Justice Roberts for swearing him in.
Oh, hell, just impeach people for being Democrats [though Roberts certainly isn’t.]
The party has evolved since then [OK, I know they don’t believe in evolution – but they have anyway.] Now they’re impeaching Republicans for being Republicans. Boehner seemed to think they were doing him a favor.
Zippity Doo Dah!
14Wingnuts are still having trouble figuring out what constitutes a crime. Maybe this will serve as a wakeup call to all America, but especially Dems that it is past time for impeachment payback. Wingnuts are gonna keep bullying Dems until Dems fight back.
15Yep, being an elected Democrat is a high crime in some tiny little minds. They *know* they were supposed to win all the elections– they’ve got the receipts!
It’s like that scene in “The Sting”: “What was I supposed to do, call him for cheating better than me in front of the others?”
16So in addition to wasting our tax dollars on repealing Obamacare, the knuckle-draggers are ready to waste millions more on impeaching Clinton. History is repeating itself with just too much frequency. We are doomed by their failure to get the definition of insanity… over and over and over again.
17Among other errors in his statement, he said “if” Hillary is elected. No “if” about it. You will have 8 more years to fill up with good Xian hate
18Wasting millions on “repealing” Obamacare, impeaching [Bill] Clinton, Benghazi hearings, Planned Parenthood hearings, government shutdowns, and other assorted witch hunts and grandstanding….
What do they care? It’s not their money. It’s ours.
19Mo absolutely has to stop taking those vodka shots before being seen in public!
20Ready. Fire. Aim.
Repeat.
21Obviously Mo Brooks knows the Republicans have a clown car full of nuts so Hillary is going to win in a landslide.
22Whether Hillary wins or not (note – I’m a Bernie supporter) the “high crimes and misdemeanors” have to have been committed while in the office you are being impeached from.
Why the @#$% isn’t there a requirement that anyone running for public office under the Constitution actually have read and understood the Constitution?
And we are paying a nice salary to this clown??!! Sheesh
23Oooh! “high crimes AND misdemeanors!” I’m all a-tingle.
Isn’t Mo the guy who accused Democrats of “waging a war on whites” and (in 2011) said he would do “anything short of shooting” to keep undocumented immigrants from staying in Alabama?
I believe he also wants to jail Obama over his executive actions on immigration.
Mo loves him some presidential impeachment!
24“…elected by the public…”
25I thought it was some kind of college elected the the president.
…And as much as it pains me, he is not the worst, or most moronic.
26Just FYI:
The Commons (of Parliament 1376) accused ministers, who were found guilty and dismissed. They even — ultimate impertinence — had the poor old king’s mistress… sent away. This process of accusation by the Commons at once acquired a name. In Norman French it was ampeschement: it meant embarrassment. Spoken in English it became: impeachment.
From Edward Rutherfurd’s “London: The Novel”
27Slightly edited.
He doesn’t understand what a criminal act is (he stands by Boy Howdy’s lies) … nor impeachment, which just means a costly and irrelevant trial. it does not lead to removal. I guess his constituency elected one of their peers after all, stupid and hateful.
