Not Political: How The World Has Changed

August 09, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

There’s a new camera out that follows a tracking device that you wear on your wrist.  The results are pretty spectacular.

New products used to rollout by saying it’s so easy a child can do it.  That’s no longer true in the tech world.  The Lily camera makes the point that it’s so easy that Grandpa can use it.

Check it out.

Hey you cocky little jerk, our generation put a man on the damn moon.  We don’t need no sass from you.

That’ll make your home movies a lot more interesting. Wow!

  5. This is a beautiful example of the current state of robotics.

  6. The Millennial who invented the thing was going to use the slogan, “It’s as easy as moving out of your dad’s basement!” but didn’t think that would resonate with his target audience.

Be interesting to hover around koch walkerstan,if he is elected and see if he could start a war with Iran in the 20 minutes of flight time for Lilly during his inauger-hogger-ation.

Oh great, or not so great if one is a skier. It’s bad enough to be sharing the packed powder with the ill-coordinated snowboarders. Now the selfie takers can surround our heads with their gadgetry.

Bah humbug from a soon to be 30 something.

PKM-you’re just a baby! Who knew? Certainly not dumbass dubya’s SOS Con-dumb-leeza Rice.

Great, now we will be subjected to incredible footage on the evening news on how you died! Seriously, when did the world get so absorbed with pictures of themselves? As far as drones, once a plane comes down (and it will happen, the world is full of idiots) they will have serious restrictions on them. @PKM.. feeling the bah humbug!

Drone Wars like Thai fighting kites .
All fun until someone gives them autonomous control and then a horror scene out of Star Trek while they hunt us down

  13. This one only goes 15 meters off the ground, so it’s not going to take down a plane.

So it is OK that everyone has a camera on their phone, and can now have one following them around in the sky, but red light cameras are unconstitutional and an invasion of privacy. I would much rather watch some moron digging his undies out than have dangerous lawbreakers getting fined.

  15. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Origuy, mostly true, if not flown around airports while planes are landing or taking off. Could be a real bummer for general aviation at the quieter more remote airstrips (FSS) where the FAA services are often non-existent.

e platypus onion, just a baby due to be a daddy again in a few months! How cool is that for a preliminary b-day present? 😀

California wildfire fighters have been plagued by drones interfering with fire-fighting planes.

  18. @truelytexan I couldn’t agree more on the red light cameras. I live in the metroplex and loved the fact that red light runners were nearly eliminated in my area. Now I have to worry about getting t-boned again. Sigh.

@truelytexan, @ellen, re: red light cameras: I always had a problem with them because it was a ticket/fine usually with no points on your license. Plus you couldn’t make out who was driving.

Better idea: Put fotos on a website where any car insurance agent can log in and check how safe their insured drivers are. Let the reckless idiots pay more for insurance so the safe drivers can pay less.

  21. Wow! Thats like the chip put in the family pet! Now my grandkids can be “low-jacked”. Their parents would really like that!

  23. Thanks, JJ, for a really fun video!!! There are times when I can use a little extra “jolly.”

Also, congratulations, PKM — wishing you and Mrs. PKM a happy, healthy, and wonderful child!

  24. I want one. Now.

Does look fabulous, but… Lily version 1 will be available May 16, 2016. (Pre-order by Aug 15 and pay $699 + shipping.)

I will wait for Lily version 2 — bugs and glitches worked out, twice as good performance, half the price.

Figure that one might be available by December, 2016.
