Primed for Disappointment

July 15, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, so a couple of my friends and I have been keeping track of all the special bargains on Amazon Prime today.

Ho boy, if I needed cheap silver jewelry or about fifty iPhone cases, this would be my special day.

But my favorite was this.  Click the little one to see the big one.

Now, how much did you say that plastic measuring cup cost originally?

My favorite line?

  1. $100 for a measuring jar? Only if it was produced by cold fusion!

I’d say the $6 would be about right … $3.95 would be even better for a measuring cup! $100 … yeah, I don’t think so!!

You think maybe there was an extra 0 in there somewhere? Good joke though.

I’m with you JJ. However, I did score the Amazon Fire stick (b’day gift for son, $25 rather than $39, which was the best deal I found. I did purchase a couple of other things, but it was not the great sale that I had anticipated with all the hoopla around it.

  5. If it came with 99 other cups, that might be all right. You could open a chain of bakeries.

  6. Where I come from, two x 1 cup = $ 13.20 whereas on this special sale day two cups = $ 13.99.

I have a measuring cup that holds a whopping FOUR cups! Has a stay-cool handle! Is dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer safe! And you can have it all for the low, low price of $175.00! That’s 64% more capacity for an increase of only 75% in price! What a deal!

I had no idea I was sitting on such riches. Hmmm – – I’ve got an empty picture frame sitting out in the garage doing nothing too. Anyone interested?

I’m not a Prime member (Amazon disgusts me for a lot of reasons), and I didn’t check it out. Thanks for doing the heavy lifting, JJ. If I want to put boiling water into a cup, I’ll stick with Pyrex. I don’t trust ANY plastic, BPA free or otherwise, with hot liquids.
