And He Can Almost Pronounce It
Louie Gohmert has learned a new word. He’s stopped calling any who who disagrees with him Hitler. They are now Ayatollahs.
Gohmert told the Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins that while he attends Obama’s speeches out of “respect for the office” even though he rarely agrees with what the president is saying, Obama and other administration officials “disrespected Israel and disrespected the leader of Israel, it was not about the man.” “If you named a caucus by who it helped, you’d have to name this one the Ayatollah Caucus.”
Remember the State of the Union speech where Congressfool Joe Wilson hollered, “You lie!” Well, at that same speech, Louie Gohmert wore a handmade sign around his neck saying, “What bill?”
Oh yah, they were on a tear that night.
So, I guess I’m asking who gets to define “disrespect?”
Louie Damn Gohmert?
Oh no.

Looks like loopy Louie shaved his palms before that speech. Wouldn’t want people to know what Rosey Palm and her five ugly sisters do for Louie, now do we?
1Louie the Louse wouldn’t know respect if it jumped in his lap and bit him. Did Judge Louie’s district elect him to Congress just to get him out of town?
2Due to unfortunate circumstances, I missed the telecast of President Obama’s speech in Selma.
I just read a transcript of that speech. It brought tears to my eyes. It was so inspiring and so moving, it brought tears to my eyes.
Louie Gohmert…and most of the Republican Party….. can kiss my Big Blue Butt.
3Louie is just so pathetic!
4Like I said recently, stupidity kinda protects the stupid, especially mentally. They cannot possibly know how stupid or nuts they are. If anything bad results from their stupidity such a personal property destruction or loss of life, well, in their stupid view it was the will of God. Storm shelters, people. Invest in storm shelters. The GOP is not going to go quietly or quickly.
5Forget Louie. Study the people that vote for him. His constituency. He speaks for them. He speaks crazy. THEY must be crazy as well.
6Not sure they are crazy — that gives those who are crazy a bad rep. There is no singular adjective that fits these narrow minded, hate-filled, paranoid, unpatriotic, un-christian, hypocritical, phobic everyone, science denyers, etc. excuse for human beings.
7i’d give Louie the respect he deserves. Just let me unbuckle my belt and turn around.
Well, I could be mature about it and try explaining to him why his positions are wrong, but I’d get father explaining it to the cat sprawled on my desk. And the cat is infinitely better-looking. And more intelligent.
8@Chloe Bear: Actually, there is a word for the critters voting for Louie: “Gohmerts” – non-sapient primates who will sacrifice their own lives, and those of their loved ones, just to make sure that they have someone to be prejudiced against.
9Oh, yes. We need to get bAck to work using the word “gohmert” so that it becomes common usage and can be entered into a dictionary. It can be a noun or verb or even other parts of speech. Thanks, RepubAnon.
10@ Marge Wood: Perhaps “gohmert” can join “santorum” as an homage to Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado by letting the punishment fit the crime…
11I don’t see the problem. I think that disrespecting Netanyahu shows sound judgment. Netanyahu urged Dubya to attack Saddam Hussein and claimed that would be a good thing for the area. He was wrong. He now wants to use the U.S. to go to war with Iran, which is ISIS’ biggest enemy in the area.
What’s to respect?
12I suppose you could find some respect for an individual who can potty train a freaking herd of elephants and get them to obey his every wet dream. That’s something.
13RepubAnon,
Thank you for excellent definition.
14Louie leads me to believe that many American voters have really gotten dumber over time. Four decades ago, I lived in Indiana’s Second Congressional District, represented at the time by a John Bircher named Earl Landgrebe. Once he famously said, “I’ve made up my mind; don’t confuse me with the facts.” Just before Nixon resigned and just after the most devastating Wategate tapes became public, Landgrebe vowed, “You can put me on the Capitol steps and shoot me. I’ll stand by my president.” His embarrassed constituents sent him home in the next election.
Gohmert has said much worse than Landgrebe many times over, but do you think voters in his district will ever turn him out? Not likely, I’m afraid.
