Louie, we the people do not want you to be Speaker of the House. We’d be much happier, if you were the House mute.
1Well, honey, you know, I think everyone oughta have at least ONE person who believes in you/him/them.
2I wonder if Louie can actually understand that endorsement, since a lot of the words are longer than two syllables.
3It is hard to imagine how anyone can even consider not only Gohmert but John Boehner for a job that requires not only wisdom and courage but the ability to persuade. It is going to be a good two years to work on building compost to grow stuff in for our country.
4djw, Loopy Louie has a “special” filter. He’ll read ‘articulate’ as asparagus. Out of respect for Mama, I won’t translate ‘facilitate,’ but it’s a close cousin to the air biscuits escaping Louie from both ends. He’ll be ok with ‘vision,’ as it mirrors the voices and pictures running through his empty head.
Translation: I believe Louis Gohmert will aspirate asparagus and contribute all his digestive process has to offer. Hold your nose, America.

10Since Louie is dumber than a box of rocks, I’m sure that he has to pay someone to create and maintain his website. And since all Congresscritters use OPM, that means we’ll be paying for it. ;-}
11Boehner long ago lost enthusiasm for his job. Without earmarks to hold over somebody’s head, the job has no oomph whatsoever (which really bugs him). Even if the SOH had a president in the White House from his own party, it is not a given that POTUS would ratify every bill originating in the House with a signature. In sum, the Speaker of the House is a job with no teeth but simply a long running stand at spewing word salad with the possibility of succeeding to the Presidency if POTUS and VOTUS are wiped out in one single blow. Odds on that are astronomical.
12Makes me wonder how wingnuts define articulate as per Gohmert. dumbass dubya articulated just swell if you like putting food ON your children or letting your OBGYN practice his /her love with his/her patients. 🙂
13There are approximately 15 words in the endorsement statement that Loopy Louie may — just may — know the meaning of. Most of them are “of,” “and,” “the,” with the odd “allows” and “will” thrown in. Heck, if this Massie guy is seriously supporting Louie, he may not know many more of the words, himself. I wonder whom he paid to write it for him.
14When I tried the link to Louie’s site I got a blank page; refresh didn’t work either (at 10:45am 1/5/2015). But then, that’s kind of fitting, isn’t it?

17Maggie, I agree with everything you say but would add one footnote. The Speaker gets to decide which bills get to the floor to be voted on. Boehner killed the immigration reform bill at the behest of a small number of radical-righters. If the bill had come to the floor it probably would have passed.

There will be dire consequences whether Loopy is or is not elected as Speaker. Not the least of which would be the seismic activity caused by Mr Sam and Tip O’Neill and Tom Foley rolling in their respective graves. How dare the GOP besmirch the office of Speaker with these inferior candidates.
