Democratic Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins is Gonna Give You Ebola!
Hell, yeah! Breitbart says so
I did this screen shot to keep you from having to go to Breitbart and catch the highly contagious disease called by its scientific name – chronic stoopid.
The Texas Observer has the story for people who believe in science.
Clay Jenkins is a compassionate man who can read and learn. He went to see the family.
As The Texas Observer notes; “One thing that’s necessary for good journalism is empathy. Without it, reporting can be a powerfully destructive activity, a terrible act of violence. It can rip people apart from each other, frighten and harm, and alienate whole communities. The best journalists know that and struggle with it.” clearly, that leaves Breitbart out!
1First, I have to ask …. what the heck is “Brietbart Texas”… and why should anyone care?
Judge Jenkins, is an intelligent, and informed jurist…. unlike… the stupid idiot who called CPS.
Brietbart needs to go somewhere that somebody gives a darn.
Did my best not to offend Momma.
2Clay knew what he was doing.
3The phrase “naive liberal” tells it all. In fact, the judge was trying to dispel the panic that misinformed conservatives are trying to spread. The judge believed the medical facts and the Breitbart readers don’t let those facts get in the way of their accusations. Those rwnj xxxtians do love a good hoax.

5Thank you for suiting up, and entering Breitbart.com to provide us with an update on the condition of intelligence at their website. It sounds dire.
Dear Miss Juanita,
Do you read ‘Breibart’ for us? If so, may I buy you a drink? A fifth? This is going above and beyond.
Regards,
6Craig
Commendably, Judge Jenkins is apparently doing all he can to calm the situation and console the dead man’s family. I saw him last week when he appeared in a news conference with Perry. He said that he, as a Democrat, and Perry, as a Republican, had contacted the CDC about the “unusual decisions” that had been made. There’s nothing unusual about tossing someone with no insurance out of the emergency room, so what decisions were unusual?
7When did “Liberal” become a perjoritive?
8To clear up another misconception, the County Judge in a large county like Dallas has no judicial duties. He is the chief executive and would more accurately be called a mayor.
9@ Larry:
“If by a “Liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “Liberal”, then I’m proud to say I’m a “Liberal.” — John F. Kennedy
10@Larry, “Liberal” became a pejorative about the time right wing talk radio took over the airwaves. Not that it should have, but yet it did. Funny thing, we were watching the Nightly News tonight & I said how I admired Clay Jenkins for his sensible handling of the Ebola thing in Dallas. Hubs asked if Jenkins was a Democrat. We Googled, and his website does not say. I said, he’s probably a Dem in Texas if he doesn’t wnt to admit it. Then we read that he supports a raise in the minimum wage, and expanded Medicaid, and we said, oh yea, he’s a Dem. Figures. A sensible, compassionate politician in TX is unlikely to be a Repub.
11I had the chance to see an interview/segment on the Judge and his actions. Frankly, I couldn’t help thinking that he is the kind of Christian that I wish I could be. I can’t praise him enough for being knowledgeable, compassionate, and ready for actions that fulfilled his words.
12Well, progressives around here (near Beantown) are probably radical liberals elsewhere.
15 years ago I realized how out of step my community was, when I shocked even the “liberal” Christians @ my H.S. reunion by casually being for gay marriage (or maybe it was 20 years ago.)
13Although I have never heard Judge Jenkins declare his political affiliation (but I dont get out much), he worked as a lawyer on the Obama campaign in 2008, his parents are Dems, his mom and Ann Richards were bubbas, and Ron Kirk and Clay are bubbas. I’m bettin’ Democrat.
14Judge Jenkins “naive?” That’s ridiculous. You don’t get to be a Democrat* county judge in Dallas County without street smarts out the kazoo. He knew exactly what he was doing, and–since he’s now a cowardy custard like this Breitbart fellow, whoever he is–he did the right thing.
You know, if he’d been a Republican, they’d have been all over him for his incredible heroism.
*Several of the news stories at the time, including the one by Time, stated that he was a Democrat.
15I had lunch in west Texas with friends yesterday who are terribly worried about ebola. I was so glad that I had discussed it with a friend who had had a long visit with a public health official about it. My lunch friend didn’t believe me much but I said I choose to believe that ebola is not transmitted like flu, with coughing and sneezing. It lets me not want to lock myself inside the house and worry about catching ebola at the grocery store or church.
16Dead Breitbart still putting down liberals? I suggest his fat, stupid ghost(writer) read Russell Shorto’s excellent recent book, ‘Amsterdam,’ which explains beautifully the history of liberalism, both political and economic, in that beautiful city, which was founded on a miracle. You’ll love it. I got it for my birthday from the man to whom I’d given ‘The Island at the Center of the World.’ That one’s about the island I call home: Manhattan, a/k/a Mannahatta.
