Just Plain Ole Fun

July 23, 2014 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Oops moments are all over the place with social media.

And the cool thing about social media is that there are no take-backs.

Really.

These are tweets that politicians try to erase from Twitter.  You can even search for your favorites!

Enjoy!

Be social and share!

  1. Everyone needs to remember that anything posted online becomes virtually immortal. Be careful before you hit that “post” button!

Well, THAT was truly bipartisan. Do I HAFTA use Twitter?

  3. I agree that anything posted on line is there…… for ever.

I just don’t see “Twitter”….. as a source for news.

    JMHO….. it’s a lot of gossip.

    But then…..

Yeah, immortal, and if somebody rich enough gets mad enough at you, they can get some techies to dig up anything you ever wrote and sent on email or a social network. Remember what my granddaddy said: “Never put anything in writing you don’t want read in court.” Things haven’t changed much in all those years.

It’s always fun to see how the word “tweet” never has a positive adjective in front of it. “racist tweet,” “controversial tweet,” etc. you see all the time. Twitter acts as such a nice bit of flypaper for stupid.

  6. Twitter is a good place for lots of things – you just figure out what you are interested in, who you are interested in and play with it. It is a great source for news (links) of all varieties and you can keep the trolls at bay very easily. Rather than argue, you can mute or block them and not have to see their Faux Noise talking points. I’ve been on for several years and enjoy it. Lots of fans as well.

It is just not safe for Mama – mainly because it is moves really fast…..

  7. Thanks for the link. Hilarious! I didn’t have to look far for a perfect example-

    Kevin McCarthy (R) @GOPWhip
CA is suffering through the worst drought in state’s history, but POTUS will use trip west to meet w/ donors & push radical climate agenda.

though his supporters will be pretty upset that pulling his tweet (can you do that in public?) shows that he can think and reflect on his actions. Won’t go over well.
After all, every right-thinking uhmeracun knows the only answer to water shortage is “Drill, baby, drill!”

  8. “Never put anything in writing you don’t want read in court.”

And never do anything you don’t want to explain to the emergency medical techs. “You got your what-now stuck in the toaster…?”

  9. As a Californian I can state with authority that our radical agenda is to not have California dry up and blow away.

I’ve always assumed that anything I post online is forever. I joined Twitter to follow Cmdr. Chris Hadfield (of the beautiful Bowie cover in space).

I don’t post anything, anywhere, that I’ll regret. Same for emails.
