No Wait, This Is Not A Totally Bad Idea

June 14, 2014 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Glenn Beck went rogue from reality on his “show” on the electric radio and said something that might be a good cover story.

On his radio broadcast today, Glenn Beck warned that too many crises are piling up all at the same time which will cause the press to finally turn on President Obama. That, in turn, will cause Obama to finally snap and start rounding up conservatives and putting them into camps.

I could go with the whole camps idea thing but, you know, not in my neighborhood.

imagesAnd if anybody would know something about snapping …

I mean, I’d be willing to let them sit around and make moccasins and have a campfire with marshmallows and it’d be a boatload of fun.  We just have to not let them leave.

Be social and share!

  1. Basket weaving. Then when they finish a project they get to roast marshmallows and make Smores. I mean, who would ever want to leave an idyllic place that let you do that?

I did snake hunts at boys’ camp. Imagine how much tea partiers would like turning over rocks looking for snakes.

Juanita Jean and everyone who has suffered the latest news cycle, hugs, large sincere hugs.

Colin Powell told Dubya, “you break it, you own it.” Where’s the GOP personal responsibility on that one?

Meanwhile John Grumpy and the “conservatives” who didn’t pay for the previous two wars want to start 7 more.

Glenn Beak, perhaps he could accommodate himself. I certainly do not expect him to read and understand the US Constitution. But, President Obama does have something for him, it’s called the ACA.

Seriously Glenn, stop self medicating and seek the available medical help. Heck dude, just take your pet in for shots and get the rabies shot, if your paranoia is that far advanced.

It’s ok Glenn, really, if you trust your veterinarian to treat your animals, they are qualified to treat you.

I went to camp for the first time when I was 13, and on the first day the camp director said to all of us, “You are here to relax and have fun.”

Wow! Up until then everything I had been enrolled in required a lot of work and pressure. It’s OK for kids to relax and have fun sometimes? Who knew?

    I loved that camp.

  5. Poor Glenn is among those who are STILL waiting for Obama’s horns and tail to flick out from behind his Human Being disguise.

And Obama hasn’t confiscated all your [word omitted] guns yet either, more’s the pity.

    5
  6. I am very impressed that all the workers who built those camps have been able to keep said camp locations such a secret.

OldMayfly, it seriously hurts my brain that children today have less freedom than my wife’s dog, who in my opinion should have more freedom.

There are DUMB rules, while we cannot have sane gun laws.

For you Marge Wood, my latest bumper sticker: “no poop zone, no guarantees on the gun fire.” Yeah, yeah, I know, probably too subtle for the gun nuts.

Rhea, two unpaid for war debts, yet McClown and company want more wars. Then, as you indicate, our emergency rooms are overrun with unnecessary gun violence. Meh? Jane and I would be seriously happy to pay more taxes, if it meant health care for all, education, all the good things and food & necessities to our allies.

Please, please, please no more arming one faction or another. Let’s feed and educate the children. Let’s promote friendships, not give religious nuts an excuse to kill.

Yeah, that means you McSt00pid and your silly weak sister, Lindsey. Get a grip, grab a clue: food and medical aid win more friends than “shock and awe.”

Hint, hint. $$$$$$ couldn’t save Eric Cantor. 2014 is looking pretty good to us sane folks.

  8. Marge Wood says:

Juanita Jean, is this thing with Beck related to that news item on DAILY KOS about the Pentagon doing social studies about how to deal with large scale riots and stuff from all us protesters? Y’all, we can get matching T shirts that say “I’m a social contagion and so are you!”

    8
  9. Marge Wood says:

p.s. I’m wondering. Does the president have the legal right to make us go to camp? I wanna go! Wait till I get my bag packed.

    9
  10. President Obama won’t need to do that because the conservatives are already putting their own out to pasture. (see: Cantor, Eric)

  11. Reminds me of the old song…

“And they’re coming to take them away Ha Ha
They’re coming to take them away ho ho he he ha ha
To the happy home with trees and flowers and chirping birds
and basket weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their
    thumbs and toes
They’re coming to take them away ha ha…”
    — apologies to Napoleon XIV

I talked to the boss about this. They may use our farm. It’s not big enough, but it’s a start.

    12
  13. Teh Gerg says:

Evidently, the current treatment for delusional paranoid ignoramuses is to give them a radio show. Take Beck and Alex Jones, for example.

    13
  14. Yes, because with problems in Iraq among other things, why wouldn’t Obama want to add one more thing to his ‘To Do’ list. Something easy like setting up national detention camps, then rounding up hundreds of thousands? millions? of conservatives, creating a transportation network to get them to the camps, organizing guards, food, etc.

Glenn Beck can’t even manage to show up for work, I think that might be a lot easier than detaining conservatives.

    14
  15. maryelle says:

Camp Guantanamo has a few spots open.
Lots of water board…, er surfing available and I hear they don’t have to bother with sunblock due to the pretty black hoods…er
sunshields each camper is given for FREE!

    15
  16. Marcia in CO says:

I wonder if Glenn Beck thinks all of the internment camps that our Japanese-American citizens were forced into are still available! What an absolutely ignorant fool is Glenm Beck, as are all of those RWNJs.

    16
  17. Camps for Crazy Conservatives? YES! And honestly, is there any other kind?

    17
  18. gabberflasted says:

Years ago and I do mean years, SNIPE HUNTS were the thing at camp. These RWNJs are busily engaged in SNIPE hunts. They expect us to sit in the dark holding a gunny sack (burlap bag to some) while they beat the bushes to drive those SNIPES into the sack.
Then, as now there ain’t no SNIPES.

    18
  19. Old Fart says:

Too bad there isn’t a way to have a prognosticator sign a legally binding document of retraction, resulting in a permanently attached sign stating how they had been WRONG dangling from their foreheads, when an expiration date is passed.

These fools have the most amazing capacity to ignore their own lapses in judgement, and of magnification of the faults of others.

All I want is some sign of humility, some sign of remorse for the DAMAGE that their wittless outbursts have incurred upon those they’ve terrorized..

    19
  20. Elise Von Holten says:

If they really were rounded up do you think we might be able to get them “raptured” ?
The pastor at my childhood church promised that the “good Christians” would someday be taken away in an instant and only the sinners would be left behind.
I couldn’t wait then and I’m more impatient now..I always thought it sounded like a neutron bomb…but that would be messy..if they were “raptured” the rest of us could get on living without all the fear that the crazy right wing lives on constantly–we could be peaceful, respectful of each other’s spaces and rebuilding our earth–living in the kingdom of heaven which is within us…it’s an idea that I could get behind–RURO! Round ’em Up and Raptured Out! Please, God, That’s my new prayer!

    20
  21. Marge Wood says:

I’ve got a big ol’ sorry ranch full of prickly pears and mesquite that we can fill up with the ultra conservatives. They can haul in an old train car to use for church and rainy day activities. It don’t rain hardly ever out there so it shouldn’t be a problem. They can all live in tents. It works in Arizona. Oh, that’s right, this isn’t jail. Look, I learned something this morning. One of the main problems happening in our country is the Rigid Christians vs. the Progressive Christians. I’m serious. Read Marcus Borg. Now I’m going to go fix dinner for the family.

    21
  22. Zyxomma says:

I loved summer camp. At day camp, one of my fellow campers taught me to be passionate about the Four Seasons (she sang Rag Doll for me). Apart from the platform at the cedar lake at Camp Vacamas where I got bitten by jellyfish, to which I was allergic, I also loved sleepaway camp. It’s where I met my very first boyfriend; we made out behind the arts & crafts shack. Fun! That said, I think camp’s too good for the krazee klown kar. I’m with Elise; let them get raptured so we can live in peace and harmony.

    22
  23. Polite Kool Marxist says:

The ammosexuals love their guns, so let’s give them Summer Camp Somalia. And, since the GOP naysayers nix anything and everything that isn’t “pre-funded,” except wars, strip the campers’ offshore bank accounts to pay for the airfare.

For the ‘special’ elites, a pleasant Mediterranean Adventure. Drop their flights into Al Basrah and let them hump their gear down the Arvand Roud to Al Faw.

Not to neglect the devout, Noshaq is where they can do the Moses thing praying from the altitudes.

    23
  24. Wa Skeptic says:

    “RURO” My new favorite bumpersticker!!

A combination of Demspeak and Scooby-Doo!

    24
  25. RepubAnon says:

As with so many other things, I expect Glen Beck is merely assuming that President Obama thinks like a Tea Party fanatic. They think that anyone to the left of Rush Limbaugh should be rounded up and imprisoned, and so they assume that rational people would also behave in that manner.

    25
  26. daChipster says:

They used to have these camps all over the place until they got shut down during the Reagan MalAdministration. They were called “mental hospitals.”

    26
  27. Mark Schlemmer says:

Did anyone else sing that old camp dining hall favorite: “This is Table Number One . . . “? I worked in a summer camp for five summers of a wonderfully misspent youth and often could manifest chaos with a simple song as each table tried to out sing the others. Then, or especially, there were the girl counselors . . . Oh Leslie Hedges where are you now??

Parenthetically, being at a camp with whiny, wackos like Beck and his two insipid side-kicks would be . . . BORING!!!!
