Frontiers of Ignorance

Bobby Jindal, Louisiana’s Governor, is once more not happy with President Obama.

Although he has no suggestions as to how to handle the situation in Ukraine, he feels sure that the whole thing would just go away if people would just stop saying that President Obama is smart.

gt_586521_Bobby_JindalYep, that right there is the solution.

This president is often praised for his intelligence. The events in Crimea should spur us to revisit that notion, or at least to mark the difference between wisdom and intelligence.

But, Jindal has that wisdom.  He says …

… wise presidents have always understood that American weakness leads to violence, American strength to stability.

Oh yeah, that’s why we had stability under Bush and violence under Clinton.  No, wait.  The people at the WMDBS, Inc. corporate headquarters are telling me that I have that backwards.

I’m wondering about Jindal’s thought processes here, too.  He whimpers that, “our president is reducing the size of our military and boasting about the record number of Americans on food stamps.”  Oh, so Bobby wants to be North Korea.  Well hell, Bobby, if that’s your solution, see if Dennis Rodman will help you out.

Have I told y’all today that I hate these people?  “Be strong” is not a solution.  “Bring it on!” didn’t work, Bobby.  They brought it and our economy tanked and our soldiers died.

Cripes, offer a solution or sit down and shuddup.

Be social and share!

Next wingnut potus will reduce the numbers of ‘murricans on food stamps simply by starting another war just for the hell of it. Troops on food stamps will die to protect the koch bros ill gotten gains and all rethuglicans will be praising the potus for bringing the numbers of leeches down. Rinse and repeat.

  2. Jindal is too young to know any history before 2008.

How about this example Bobby, Roosevelt? World War II?
Sometimes the enemy is too crazy to recognize either intelligence or wisdom.

  3. Shades of Alfred E. Neuman…but old Al was smarter.

    3
  4. Last month Obama was a dictator and a tyrant.

    This month he’s a weak-kneed wimp.

Could y’all please get your mudflinging straight? The rest of us are getting whiplashed.

Actually they’re not flinging mud. Chimps in the zoo have been known to fling something they get from their rear ends, and I think that’s what’s happening here.

  5. Why is it that so many Republican politicians bear an uncanny resemblance to Mad comics Alfred E Newman?

    5
  6. I presume this little chicken hawk never served a day in the military. These GOP twits go to such lengths to be noticed these days.

    6
  7. And, this is the guy who told the GOP to “stop being the STUPID party?” Looks like he didn’t take his own advice.

Little Piyush is term-limited in LA LA land. His local clout has been stolen by Diaper-boy Vitter, who has proven once again that the line in the sand for political viability in Louisiana is still “live boy/dead hooker” in your bed. His hookers are still all breathing. (No boys have yet been found.)

SO as an outgoing Republican governor whose viability – and consistency – is that of than soft serve on Bourbon Street in August, Piyush has one play left, and that is to become somebody’s Vice-Presidential candidate next year.

He has all the right stuff that the GOP is looking for in a Presidential candidate coat-holder: he thinks like an old white guy without looking like one – the Conservapedia definition of Republican diversity.

Once, Piyush thought he was going to be the Republican Obama. But that ended on a long, long walk up to the camera to give an SOTU response so not-ready-for-prime-time that actual old white guys everywhere breathed a sigh of relief. In the five years since, he hasn’t done anything to dispel the notion that he’s the GOP’s earnest, if slightly dim, pet brown guy.

    Like a duskier Tim Pawlenty.

All he needs is a “What, Me Worry?” caption under that pic.

I love how the headline goes with the idiotic face of Jindal.

  12. VeeGee in VT says:

“The GOP’s earnest, if slightly dim, pet brown guy.” You nailed it, daChipster. I am still laughing.

I was a playground lady. It is my direct experience that no amount of wisdom or intelligence is effective when dealing with a cranky toddler, especially if you aren’t the only one in the room with the toddler which allows for explaining the bruising and blood with the “he hurt himself during the tantrum” excuse. If the toddler is an adult with access to major military assets coupled with self esteem issues and the other people in the room are sovereign governments, unilateral threats and chest thumping become problematic. Put down the Wii, Bobby, and step away from the Xbox. The smart people in the room know it’s not a game, and that the consequences are people’s lives.

  14. I’m pretty sure this has been manipulated to resemble the Honorable Mr Newman.

But just because it ain’t factual don’t mean it ain’t got some truth in it.

  15. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Bobby Jindal, poster boy for “Party of Stupid.” He need not look at his fellow republicans to find stupid, as a glance in the mirror will do the trick.

Whine all they want about President Obama, but my opinion is that he has been too kind to the idiot Republicans whom he must tolerate. They act like disrespectful spoiled brats, then have the gohmerts to falsely accuse the President of not compromising with them? Grab their gavels and slap them silly, Mr President.

Does this dude really think Putin checks with ANY U.S. president before he acts?

  17. I read an article in a KS newspaper earlier today which contained a quote from John Huntsman about CPAC. Paraphrasing here–He said he’d be watching Animal Planet to get updates on CPAC. Huntsman knows that CPAC is a scam and its participants are First Class clowns and grifters.

    17
  18. Polite Kool Marxist says:

majii, Jon Huntsman, R-Utah, idiot extraordinaire pans the gohmert clowns and grifters in CPAC. WTG! Pass the popcorn, watch the thugs eat their own, but in no uncertain terms allow any of them near innocent animals.

Holy Gohmerts and please goddesses NO, do not have CPAC on Animal Planet. Even the canaries would not be safe from the bestiality obsessed x-tian thugs. Please protect the airspace above from gun toting grifters in helicopters. No play dates for $carah with Vlad.

  19. Okie-Dokie says:

It is amazing how much the R’s love war. (Sickening actually) Have any of them actually served in the military other than with some rich kid squadron?

The people of Louisiana call him “Bobby Jingle.” Dingaling?

    19
  20. Once again, Bobbyboy shows us that Republicans just can’t stop being the stupid party.
