  1. They change the trappings up but don’t change what is at their heart, people are wise to that now and aren’t going to play along to give them a photo op.

An indication of Republican interest in outreach. All shoe, but nobody go.

  3. Polite Kool Marxist says:

If only they’d allowed pitch forks past the metal detectors, the room would have been packed.

  4. Lorraine in Spring says:

This pic makes me sad. Cons just don’t care and here’s the proof. They prefer to win by lying, cheating & stealing elections while praising God and claiming Liberals are destroying America.

When people in power have the ability to make life better for the least of our brothers and sisters in need, and they refuse to act, they do not really love Jesus or Americans.

    Just ask our Veterans.

    Amen, Lorraine, Amen!!

    A thousand words…. and 270 electoral votes!

  7. If this picture and the recent Texas election results aren’t enough to get every reader of JJ motivated, I don’t know what will. Go get a hand full of voter registration cards ( motor vehicle test/license sites, county offices) and make it your job to get six people a month registered. That’s not much, but it’s doable and 48 more voters for each of us to remind and convince to vote for Democrats.

Wasn’t this the symposium on the invisible hand of the marketplace?

  9. Rubymay says:

Lorraine in Spring — you said everything there is to say about these folks.

  10. Miss Prissybritches says:

Well, this has been covered by lots of various entities… one which commented that the room filled up toward the end of the presentation, but that was probably because the NRA dog and pony show was about to begin, and Wayne LaPierre was waiting to take the stage.

The level of negative intensity I feel toward those two-faced sacks of mule dung….. oh, you all get it. I’m preaching to the choir. My Mom is in the hospital right now. I am proudly wearing my NARAL Politicians Make Crappy Doctors pin on my lapel. The comments I get are priceless.

Sorry for the typo. Should have read:
    All show but nobody go.

  12. Polite Kool Marxist says:

It’s a full house! Packed with all the gohmert’s imaginary LBGT, First American, African American and Latina/Latino friends. Isn’t that Sarah Palin’s imaginary lesbian friend at the front table?

    12
  13. Polite Kool Marxist says:

On the good news side of things, maybe this will be the last we hear from Sarah Palin, ever. Dear goddess, yes. Just yes.

“Her speech signals all that we need to know about the conservative movement’s view of women, and Sarah Palin in particular. Sarah Palin hasn’t worked as a politician for almost five years. As indicated in her Fox interview she is still teasing about running for President. By choosing Sarah Palin as the most prominent female to speak, and by featuring her as the last speaker of the conference, it is clear that CPAC views women as irrelevant, inconsequential, and not smart enough to realize that they are irrelevant and inconsequential.

The voters in the Straw Poll reinforced this conclusion. Sarah Palin did not get enough votes to merit being mentioned. Neither did Ronald Reagan, George Bush, John McCain, Michelle Bachmann, Bernie Madoff, Charlie Sheen , Ted Nugent, Rick Perry, Mike Huckabee, Michelle Bachmann, “Herb” Cain, Newt Gingrich, Donald Trump, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy, Santa Clause, Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan, Miley Cyrus, or Linda Blair.”

Comedy Central thanks you, Sarah, but the rest of us never want to see your face or hear your voice again, even if it’s filtered through Jon Stewart. Him we like, you we seriously ignore.

And, Bristol. Just Shut the Gohmert Up, please. Your momma is a grifter, and there’s no drag coefficient left for you to ride the grift. Get a job, girl. And, although your sperm donor is a pimp, forget pole dancing. You have no rhythm child. We saw you lumbering through DWTS; it wasn’t pretty.

  14. e platypus onion says:

Texas reached out to minorities by closing the last women’s health clinic in the Rio Grande Valley. Now them wealthy, poor souls have to travel 400 miles for services. Makes one feel all warm and fuzzy for wingnuts, don’t it. I’d sure vote for them, not.

    14
  15. Polite Kool Marxist says:

e platypus onion, the privileged white women will still have the services of their personal neighborhood physicians to assist in expelling their premature embryo miscarriage. Can anyone explain why there’s a double standard of patient/doctor confidentiality? Holy Gohmerts! The hypocrisy is overwhelming.

For real, that sack of hot air Limp Brain had his patient/doctor confidentiality defended by the ACLU, yet the ungrateful gohmert not only attacks the ACLU, he attacks women wanting the same Constitutional protections.

Must be the Paul Ryan rule, poverty is a sin. Or, maybe the Bristol Palin equivalent, “don’t follow my lead.” But please Tea Bag gohmerts don’t blow Xtian gohmerts my way claiming to “hate the sin and love the sinner.” Own your hate, you hating hypocrites.

JJ, my Mama forbid the hate word, but these hateful Tea-jihadists are forcing it into my vocabulary. You’re correct, JJ. The Tea Bags are mean, vile and hateful.

    15
  16. Hmmm. Wasn’t this the panel discussion and open forum on the Republican party outreach campaign?

    Oh, damn! What an echo!

    16
  17. PKM — Love reading your comments, as always. And I most sincerely hope you’re right about Sarah. Even thinking about that idiot makes my blood pressure go up a yard and a half.

    17
  18. maryelle says:

Enough with the bagger butchering of Dr. Seuss. First Cruz and now Failin’ Palin.
They must think they sound cute, but they just reinforce the “party of stupid” image.

    18
  19. Need to pick up a little help here. Been excessively busy due to all the lost time because of snow days, but didn’t Paul ryan also speak at CPAC? And embarrass himself by plagiarizing someone’s little boy and brown bag lunch nonsense? Wow! First Rand Paul. Now Ryan. That plagiarism thing is really contagious!

    19
  20. Marge Wood says:

I’m all for getting folks registered to vote. Now how do we get them to GO VOTE when the time comes?
