Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
The commitment itself is astounding, but the attention to detail and design is amazing.
1I’ve seen it in the Smithsonian, and it’s amazing. I wish James Hampton could see it now.
2Wow. Just wow.
3To be so compelled to make a vision become real, with no help, no money, on one’s own, is a miracle. And in the end, he had to walk away from it.
4Thank you all, John A, James Hampton and Juanita Jean for all you have done and do to make the world a fine art.
5Vision. What vision do you have for 2014? How can we all work together to make it happen?
6OK. From a psychological viewpoint, this is the way the artist’s soul breathed. MInd boggling!
7I’ve seen this in the museum and it’s wonderful. I had never heard of it and just stumbled across it and was so blown away I still remember it 15 years later.
It’s in the American Art Museum at 8th and F Streets NW (near Gallery Place metro) if anyone is ever visiting DC and wants to see it.
8Stunning in design, and to have been created under such circumstances.
