My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
You do get around. Glad you and Bubba got to hang out with Senator Cory Booker! Travel safely. May I refer my sister in law to Senator Booker in case she wants to talk to a senator?
1And a total corporate tool and destroyer of public education. Obviously better than his opponent, but that’s a very low bar.
2Is he taller than Alan Grayson????
3Yes he is all that. He came to Seattle and was the headline speaker at our State Convention dinner. Not sure if he’s taller than Alan Grayson, though.

5Congrats to Mr. Booker. Wish he was MY senator. Instead, Texas had two buffoons that voted tonight to keep the government shut down. Texas – responsible for 17% of Stupid Senators.
6Both guys are tall, but they have STATURE, something we badly need up there in DC.

8We lived in Newark, New Jersey the first six months we were married, which was back in the Dark Ages, B.R. (Before Riots). I am glad to be more aware of what is going on there (note: spent a couple minutes researching it) and hope and pray that Booker has some good ideas for New Jersey, not only Newark but Camden and other places. I am not particularly fond of charter schools but honey, if they help get those kids educated, I will cheer them on.
9Well, fine, JJ! Now I’m really, really green-eyed jealous. It just doesn’t seem fair that you get to hang out with ALL the good looking guys. (Keep up the good work!)
10Very glad Mr Booker is joining the Senate; in Mr Londgren’s defense, he has overcome many obstacles in his personal life, but we have enough wild-eyed zealots in DC who’re only too happy to stand upon some insane principle and think compromise is a dirty word! Looking forward to following his career! 🙂

12Drove home to New Jersey for six hours last night just so I could vote for Cory Booker. Couldn’t have been a better outcome. He was running against the tea party bonehead who couldn’t help shooting himself in the foot every time he opened his mouth and damn he didn’t even use a gun.
Feeling pretty good about New Jersey tonight.

My husband has been humming “The Entertainer.” (Lonegan is the name of the bad guy in “The Sting.” Anyone on the Koch Brothers payroll is bad guy IMHO.)
18Aggieland liz,the one obstacle Lonegan couldn’t overcome was the “kiss of death” from the ex,half-guv of Alaska. I noticed she was nowhere in sight when he admitted he lost her senate seat. Rainyday friends,who needs ’em.
