My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
I think I’ve said this before. For years after Hawaii became a state, there were still way too many people who hadn’t received the memo and the majority of them worked for the United States Post Office. If you went to the PO to send a letter to Hawaii they invariable rang up an overseas amount for postage, over seas as in Japan, not Europe. Unfortunately, like some computer viruses that may look as if they have been extinguished but in actuality are simply in a lurking mode, that Hawaii is not a state crap has done exactly the same thing. However, no way would I give the guy in the picture a hall pass on this. So what if he slept all the way through school and graduated (???) with the minimum required GPA, it is way past time that he knew damn better!
1Several years ago, I had a discussion with several people who really were convinced that people from Hawaii did not hold the ‘real’ cultural values of America. When asked the best place to see pure American values at work, I was informed that the American mid-West was the place to see “pure’ American values. The position was that people who grew up in Hawaii are not ‘real’ Americans. The sign seems to be an extension of that viewpoint.
2I have long wondered what color the sky is in Cruz-world; I’m pretty sure it isn’t blue.
3There is no sky in Cruzland. They burrow into the slime like amphibians which goes a long way towards explaining the reasons they smell and look alike.
4I still can’t get past his creepy father constantly telling him that he will grow up to change the world, that God has chosen him. Even creepier is that creep Jr. bought it!
5@maggie – I’ve lived in Hawaii for over 25 years, and can’t tell you how often I’ve heard vacationers say they were going back to the “states” in a few days. I have to admit though, that I actually agree with the guy who wielded the thick black magic marker – – I’ve never seen any evidence in all that time that “Hawaie” is a state.
6Maybe it’s an undisclosed location they send people who can’t spell?
Hey, Hawaii has an Interstate Highway…..interstate, that means it connects with other states, right? Well, not so much.
7I once had a history professor hypothesize that we would never have made Hawaii a state if the bombing of Pearl Harbor had not occurred because the perception of native Hawaiians not being white so not being really American. This is the same one who asserted that we would never have A-bombed Germany because we felt related to what was the cultural and scientific benchmark (prior to the war), but dropping A-bombs on the Japanese was fine because they were not the same as us.
Much like Kenya-born isn’t really American (even if there is American Citizen mother) but Canadian-born can be….

I’ve heard a rumor that Hawaii might just get an interstate that connects to the mainland, thanks to a life long Republican:
Paul, a Republican, was contacted by God one morning.

“Cool!..said Paul. I know… I wish for a highway to be built between San Francisco and Hawaii”
God said: “That’s a big wish, you know I’d have to put thousands of pilings all the way down to the ocean’s floor, which in some places would be 10,000 feet deep…Don’t get me wrong, I CAN do it, after all I’m God, but isn’t there something else that you would want”?

Klayman and Co. are perfect representatives of the American Taliban only they claim to live by the Bible. He’s recommending civil disobedience to get rid of the President. This really is the second coming of the Confederacy.

So Cruz mouths off with a claim that the NBC poll is no good because of sampling error. That’s what Cruz says, but he doesn’t have a shred of evidence to back it up. He’s just a Jim Jones disciple, pouring more Kool-Aid down the throats of the gullible. Is Cruz as evil as Jim Jones? I think so.

11I think anyone who thinks the tea party is evil and cunning and sinister in some brilliant way is losing sight of the fact that this attempt by them went sideways almost immediately, and they have no clue. None, nada, nyet.
They are so far down the evolutionary ladder that they barely qualify as “life,” like lichen, or pond slime.
12Sign painter: good way to announce that you flunked English AND Geography. And misspelling your sign almost always identifies you as right-wing.
Couldn’t watch the video because I feel that it would cause numerous brain cells to explode and drip out my ears, and I can’t afford the loss.
maryelle, some big trucks with signs slowed things down on the Beltway for a while the other morning, but not many and not for long, and then they went away. Even some of the drivers acknowledged that screwing up people trying to get to work didn’t do much to correct the situation they were upset about, whatever it was.
13If you think Hawaii has problems, consider poor New Mexico. They have problems with people who don’t think it’s even in the United States.
14Someone should remind contestant number 1 that Alberta isn’t a state, either.
15I tried to watch the video – but child molesters creep me out and I couldn’t do it. Yes, Klayman is Chester the Child Molester. With his own children. This is one of their head people.

16@maryelle, you are so right that it’s the second coming of the Confederacy. MSNBC showed a protester at Rafael and Sarah’s little shindig who was waving a Marine Corps flag AND a Confederate Stars n’ Bars Battle flag. SMDH.
17Hey as little as 15 years ago, when I would order something in New Mexico, they would tell me they did not ship to foreign countries…….Geography….it is what you need to be reality based….
