Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Make love, not war! Could we be headed for a huge love-in in Russia?
1They shared a smooch.but it don’t look like they are willing to share their medals. Hope Putin chokes on his own bile.
2The women have come out with a statement that the kiss had nothing to do with teh Gay, and any suggestions otherwise are just “disgusting.”
So no, you don’t go, girls.
3OTOH… a kiss is just a kiss. It’s a Slavic thing (though Chang-Kai Shek kissing Leon Trotsky was a new one on me)…

4Seriously … what’s wrong with a kiss amongst friends? Good grief … folks just go ballistic over nothing!
5Wonder if Glen Greenwald realizes that Russia, the country he helps most with the Snowden, leaks wouldn’t let him and his partner live together there and might possibly kill them or put them in jail?
6The real effect of the fall of communism in Russia has never been explained to Americans. Let’s just say Russia rebooted and came back up on its original czarist configuration. What was the first order of business of the duma (legislature) after the dissolution of the USSR? It was the allocation of state funds for the rebuilding of Christ the Redeemer cathedral, which Stalin demolished.
7In contemporary Russia, there is *no* separation between the state and the orthodox church. The message to the West is be careful what you wish for. Did you really think a European-style social democracy would replace communism in Russia? Ladies and gents, meet Holy Mother Russia (Матушка-Русь).
