Oh Goodie! Republicans Found Us Someone Else To Be Afraid Of

August 18, 2013 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, you got your Muslims, your communists, your uppity wimmen, your black President, them Mexicans, liberals ….

And now – ta da! – violent South Americans.

Congresstoad Steve King of Iowa says that people from South America coming to the United States are importing their violent society with them because, you know, the United States is like totally non-violent.

“If you bring people from a violent civilization into a less-violent civilization, you’re going to have more violence right?” he asked. “It’s like pouring hot water into cold water. Does it raise the temperature or not?”

Does this turkey read a newspaper or watch the local news at night.  Holy crap, if we were any more violent, they’d have to build a thunderdome around us.

And, of course, there are civilizations that are just violent.  Which makes the NRA give King such a high rating.

By the way, just to top off a goofball week, King also said that members of his own party are “under a spell” about immigration.

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) continued to defend his comments on immigration reform during an interview with New Day’s Kate Bolduan, explaining that most Republicans agreed with him before the presidential election, but are now cast under a “spell.”

Not the witches thing again, okay Steve?  You guys have overused that one.

  1. I’d like to have a whole group descend upon Mr. King and start singing this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0exXGfzivJ8
(best lip sync version of anything. ever. seriously.)

  2. If Repubs are under a spell it must be the Confundus Charm.

  3. Thank you, Upanatm, for that fabulous video. It’s allegorical, really. The Rethugs’ worst nightmare: their insane ‘base’ they will never be able to escape! Bwah hah hah!

  4. You forgot……”the gays”

  5. Upanatm—
Screamin Jay’s song is one of my favorites.
Of course the likes of King would grab pitchforks and start chasing us through the woods as witches.

Steve “cantaloupe calves” King can read? Be a big surprise to alot of us here in NW iowa. There is actually a draft King for SOH movement. King SUX,that is all!

  7. Don in Huaco says:

The good news is Sen. King now recognizes scientific concepts with hot water increasing the temperature of cold water. Today physics tomorrow biology. There is a small glimmer of hope. Tiny. Microscopic, even. But a glimmer still the same.

Hah! Back in the day (way way way back in the day) my two best friends in high school and I used to go to Alan Freed’s Rock and Roll Shows at the New York and Brooklyn Paramount Theaters. And Screamin’ Jay Hawkins his own self used to be there performing.

Yes, that does mean I grew up in a foreign state.

  10. Marion (formerly known as MM) says:

I just remembered what a performer he was. He used to come onto the stage, all bent over with a big handkerchief over his head and be dancing and stomping coming out from under that thing. It was pure spectacle.

  11. And of course the spell was cast by……
you guessed it…..the TYRANT OBAMA, who also doubles as a witchdoctor in his spare time. I think there’s song called “Witchdoctor” from the dark ages. (50’s)

    11
  12. Make that “Witch Doctor” (2 words)or you’ll get something nasty on iTunes.
Sha Na Na does a nice rendition.

The temperature that’s really in question is Steve King’s room temperature IQ.

Upanatm, that lip sync was a SCREAM! What a mouth that man has! I could easily have believed that he was actually singing it. And so apropos to the JJ posting!

  16. “If you bring people from a violent civilization into a less-violent civilization.”
I’m sorry, but I have to agree with Congressman King. Every since the first white man got off a ship with his musket, it’s been a much more violent continent.

    16
  17. Al Alvarez in AZ says:

Rick; you stole my thunder. I was going to ask why King didn’t think we were a violent society…so how can someone who is so backwards in physics and biology do it without being able to read (I don’t believe he reads if he still believes we are not a violent society); he must get all his information from Fox.

    17
  18. Congresscritter King can be counted on for a hay-bale size dose of hysteria just about any time. He has ramped it up lately after discovering that more and more of his party members in the House are publicly disagreeing with him. Its really humbling for someone who considers himself top dawg to find things cracking and crumbling around him. Maybe its all those cantaloupes dancing in his dreams. Lord knows he doesn’t eat them. Migawd, if he did he would be supporting valedictorian drug mules!

    19
  19. The School of the Americas Stevie, hun, you really need to read those budget items. Our grads killed millions in Guatemala, Honduras, el Salvador, Chile, Argentina,Panama! Those drug king pins, they’re our suppliers. Violence baby, we own it.

  20. I agree with the theory that they are under a spell. When the spell was cast they were told people are stupid. If you say it they will believe it. The republicans were the largest opponents of immgration reform and were always making racist comments. Now that they see that the hispanic vote played a large part in the previous election republicans say “The republican party has always been in favor of Immigration reform”. Ted Cruz reminds me of the hispanic border agents who are hispanic. They hate the people born in mexico regardless of their legal status. These geniuses are people who ” Spic inglesh like dis”. The way they speak tells me something. They are either immigrants themselves of the children of immigrants. Hmmm…maybe they just don’t like their parents.
