Congratulations – you certainly deserve the FUN and FRIVOLITY of being “roasted”.
Thank you for all of your hard work and sincerely terrific efforts.
1One of the few times lately that I wish I was in Texas! We outlanders want them to post the video on YouTube so we can watch our favorite “non-blogger”get roasted!
2WOW! Does this get any better? I meet my hero on Monday & now I get a chance to toast her next month? I don’t know if I can handle the excitement!
I hope I can hit this Susan-Love-O-Rama Party, but making plans in advance is tough due to hubby’s job. I’m gonna light some candles, make a voodoo doll & bury a saint statue, in hopes I can make this Not To Be Missed Shin-Dig.
3OMG … I’d love to see this on YouTube … please, please, please make that happen and put the link on here!!
4Laughing. Wishing I could be there. You’re grand, Susan. We should all use our alt. personalities so well.
5I fear the ‘roastee’ will roast the ‘roasters’..(poor brave souls.)
6Well deserved! Wish I lived closer so I could come roast you in person!
7Hoo Boy! Back in the last century and the old-time days of radio, an episode of Fibber McGee and Molly concluded with Fibber coming back into the house after fetching the mail. Fibber handed an envelope to his wife and said, “Oh, look, Molly …the City Fathers have invited me to a luncheon party!”
Molly glanced at the invitatation and replied, “Put your glasses on, Fibber – that’s a lynchin’ party!”
For those who can’t make it, the Fort Bend Democrats should make a video and raise money by selling DVDs!
8I’ll buy a DVD of Susan getting roasted!
9Can’t wait to see Senfronia Thompson have at her! LOL!
10I’m IN! And what a great picture of you, Susan! Can’t wait for the fun. But what pressure on those speakers – NONE of them are as funny as you!
11I can’t get to Texas, so here’s another vote for putting the video on YouTube or somewhere. Sounds like a hoot, and congratulations! Those roasters are in for a contest!
12Susan, since you’re a quicker wit than most anyone, the roasters are going to have to work really hard. Wish I could be there, but I’ll be in Los Angeles. Will look forward to the video.
13Newsflash! The Students for Lifers can arrange for their bus to have a strategic breakdown in Missouri City on the way back from Austin to Washington. In exchange for free meals at JJ’s roast, they’re willing to provide musical entertainment by singing “Kumbaya” and “Amazing Grace.”
14… Or if somebody will donate the cost of bus repairs … maybe not …
15How fun! Wish I could go.
