My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.

If men are fighting for this issue as a “right’s issue” and not a “woman’s issue”….. I think the GOTP in Texas is in a heap of trouble.
I knew Bubba would be there, and some others who have been on the ranting and raving side of this all along. But I had no idea as many men felt as strongly as they do about how the women in their lives are perceived.
It is so gratifying to see.

2Yes,barefoot and pregnant., that’s what pleases old, white and conservative males. Thing is, nobody wants to please them anymore. women and men who love them will don those ruby sneakers and run their own lives. Amazing how powerful that pair of shoes has become.
3I got me a pair of them Wendy Davis shoes last week, and they feel pretty good on my feet. Might even inspire me to start running or working out if that might give me the grit and determination that tiny Senator has. She’s little bitty. But you know, dynamite sticks and those old cherry bombs are kinda little, too, compared to the ruckus they raise. When I put those shoes on, it just makes me feel happy inside, like anything could be possible. Been a long dang time since I felt that way.
