Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
That quote should be put on her tombstone.
1And she’s not a natural blonde. Real blondes have real brains.
I’d better quit before I start offending Momma.
This woman must need to fill her pumps with lead to keep the air in her head from making her a danger to flights out of Austin.
2And an incestuous parent is going to take a child to a hospital (where such kits are administered) because……?
3The intersection of stupid and hateful is an ugly thing.
4This woman represents a very conservative district in Collin County.
Her website also states that she is the “Texas Chair for the American Legislative Exchange Council”…. also known as ALEC. And, just a guess…. ALEC wrote the legislation for her….. which is why she couldn’t in any intelligent way answer any questions on it, and why no amendments were allowed. Needless to say, the Koch Brothers probably bankroll her campaigns. She has be re-elected six times, and it’s sure not because she’s all that bright. She’s one more Koch head we need to vote out of office.
Another mis-guided female member of the Texas Taliban.
5Point of personal priviledge.
Ms. Laudenberg: If you are so stupid that you don’t know what a “Rape Kit” is. Please, for the sake of all Texas women, don’t introduce any more bills in the state legislature that affect women in any way, shape, or form.
I’m done…. for now.
6We had all been behaving silently (even no jazz hands for approval) up in the gallery when she let this Aiken worthy bomb fly. Most of us burst out laughing and she looked stunned. I can’t believe she is so bone ignorant.
7She must be one of four (high estimate) people on the planet who has managed not to see multiple showings of every Law and Order: SVU episode. They’re on 24/7 somewhere on the dial. Rape kits are mentioned and explained at least once in each episode. And the doctors always offer, in addition, emergency contraception. Also, isn’t cleaning a woman out tantamount to an abortion?
8Now if they could just throw in a brain wash that would remove the memory of the rape the lady would be good as new. They could wrap her up in plastic and ship her out the door.
9Here’s Ms. ALEC’s telephone and fax numbers, let her know how you feel!

Read some more about how really dumb she is:

11Even compared with all the scheisse I have heard about abortion as a MS legislator, this is the most appalling. Not just the statement itself but that it came from someone who is, at least ostensibly, a FEMALE! Maybe we can convince the hospitals to have a weekly “clean ’em out” day. Reckon?
12Loved the Rachel Maddow videos on this spectacle! Love the chant: “Not the church, not the state, women must decide their fate.”
I guess the good old boys thought having a woman trot this legislation out was going to be kosher with the rest of Texas’s women.
What a Bimbo!
13That is some powerful stupid. Is she another one of those GOP doctors?
14Ain’t it always the way! When something is about to croak, they give it to a woman to “handle.” Only problem is, that ain’t resolution and it sure ain’t absolution! Those good old boys and their handy double X dollies have got to do! Yesterday wouldn’t be any too soon!
15Is she a “natural blonde” or a naturally STUPID woman? Not meant to be sexist, but that stands up there with the top 5 stupidest things I’ve heard this year.
16Some of the unemployed teachers in Texas might consider getting together to grade the job performance of government officials. It would serve two purposes, 1) that teachers need jobs (so adults don’t grow up to be ignorant legislators), and 2) that teachers need jobs (for themselves). I’m not a teacher, but I think it’s safe to say Jodie Laubenberg gets a F on her pop quiz yesterday. Written with a red ink pen so she can’t try to spin it into an A.
17OMG………I certainly would not want someone to KNOW I was that stupid!!!!!!!!!!!?
18@Larry: She’s no natural blonde! Real blondes are good and intelligent. (I’m one so I have first-hand knowledge) It’s all that bleach and an unreachable goal to be desirable to a he-man that fries the brain.
19So I would agree that she’s NATURALLY STUPID!
@TexasEllen: I wish I had been there to laugh with you. I think laughing at the stupid is sometimes more effective than getting angry!
Jodie is a WINO. Woman in name only. ALEC’s Texas Barbie.
20They passed it y’all. Our Dems are going to try a filibuster to keep it off Perry’s desk, but I dunno…
21Just when you think you’ve heard it all…….
22Today just for entertainment I asked this lady if she’d been watching the hearings. She was polite but clueless. So I just flat said “You know, the ones on abortion at the Capitol. What do you think of abortion?” and she said “I’m against it.” I said “Well, what about in case of rape or incest or to save the life of the mother?” and she allowed that was okay. See, lots of folks don’t THINK about it. Most women are okay with THAT. It’s the men that say things like “most rapes don’t end up in pregnancies”. Senfronia was GRAND. You might want to go their websites and tell them thank you. JJ, how do we find out who all stood against the bill?
23I agree with Senfronia.
24Do you know she also serves on the Committee for Public Health? How in Heaven’s name do we get her off of that? It’s real scary to think that she has any input whatsoever into the public health of Texans. I’m afraid to think what she’ll do next.
25I can not believe that someone wasted time fact checking this idiots claims http://www.politifact.com/texas/statements/2013/jun/24/jodie-laubenberg/jodie-laubenberg-says-texas-rape-kit-dilation-and-/
26What sort of woman doesn’t know the difference between a rape kit and a D&C? And to think she’s on the Public Health Committee. That’s beyond wrong!
27TexasEllen: I was there last night as well. Could not believe my ears! The laughter and gasps came from Democrats on the floor as well.
28Was also at the hearing on Thursday night and heard her explanation of the bill. She may have read that abill written by ALEC, but she did not comprehend what she’d read.
On the bright side, the gallery risked being through out en masse last night by giving a standing ovation to Rep. Jessica Farrar. See Burnt Orange Report here for video of her personal privilege speech.

Oops. That should have been “the gallery risked being thrown out en masse”
29Lots of clever, not much wisdom.
30Oh noooo, she really did say that. I was so hoping I just dreamed that Rachel Maddow episode. An adult human being, so ill-informed…what a shame. Maybe she was at an ALEC meeting every time Law & Order SVU was on?
