Truther?
Alex Jones has become my new favorite Republican. He’s like Ann Coulter without the Adam’s Apple. No less crazy but at least he owns more than one dress.
He believes that the government – yes, the same people be believes are inefficient and can’t even run the post office – can now make tornadoes happen.
You know, with helicopters and stuff. And spray. You gotta have spray.
Alex is not real sure how it works but he’s damn sure it’s happening.
I don’t know if this is a weather-weapon or not, but they can, with the right weather conditions, they can create and steer groups of tornadoes. The question is, were helicopters, cuz they use those up close, and small fixed-wing aircraft seen in and around the weather patterns.
Like if people fifty miles out of these storm systems, they see aircraft in and around the clouds, spraying and doing things. If you saw that, you’d better bet your bottom dollar that they did this. But, who knows if they did. That’s the thing, we don’t know.
And if we don’t know, then it has to be true.
Dude, did you ever notice how Wolf Blitzer is always around almost too quickly after these tornadoes happen? Did you ever consider that he’s doing it?
Thanks to Carl for the heads up.
So is it Jones who is no longer in Kansas (or Oklahoma) or have I wandered through the looking glass or are we in a different fairy tale altogether?
1Well damn, little little man! The Congressman representing Moore, OK was on TV today giving the Republican response to the President’s weekly message and boy! was I shocked! His response was totally selfless. Not about him. Not about the party. Just purely about the folks in Moore. Had to blink a few times to make sure of what I was seeing. I repeat: it was totally selfless and praised the people of Moore. Take that, Alex Jones!
2Did he ever pay attention to the relative size of a supercell thunderstorm compared to, say, a jumbo jet? Saying those tiny little planes and helicopters can steer a supercell is like saying an elephant would bleed to death after one gnat bite.
3As my daddy used to say “I’ve told you a million times not to exaggerate.”
If I was “The Government,” and I had a tornado weapon, I’d probably use it on North Korea before Oklahoma. And Alex Jones’ house would be second on the list, for revealing “The Government’s” secrets.
4Alex Jones was a total A** when he had his show on ACTV years back and he hasn’t gotten better.
5Among higher-quality conspiracy theorists, Alex Jones is considered a crackpot.
6Yep that’s what my son said Rick – only he said the middle east, North Korea, China – that we’d use it all over the places because that is one really effective weapon. 😀
7….were they black helicopters?!?
8How to blow a conspiracy theory apart: Insist that the government be REQUIRED to control the weather. Alex and company would then insist that the government is unable to do it.
9OMG … these people make my head ache like it wants to explode!! What in the world are these creatures eating [probably straight GMO-lace crack or pot or … or … or who knows] and what are they drinking [probably that nice cold, yellow colored sweet tea from the urinal] … these creatures truly scare me!!
10The New York Times has more:
“If you know the truth and others don’t, that’s one way you can reassert feelings of having agency,” Swami says. It can be comforting to do your own research even if that research is flawed. It feels good to be the wise old goat in a flock of sheep.
“Why Rational People Buy Into Conspiracy Theories” http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/26/magazine/why-rational-people-buy-into-conspiracy-theories.html?pagewanted=all
Not that I’m accusing these folks of being rational, bless their little hearts.
11Three words.
12Bat
Sh*t
Crazy
Can we please stop using the word “truther” for people who lie like rugs and/or are dumber than rocks? Just say they’re lying and dumber than rocks instead?
Here’s why: just having the word “truth” in there convinces other people dumber than rocks that a truther is a person who tells the truth, like a liar is person who lies. It’s the way our language is constructed. An X-er is a person who X-es. So even though we intend mockery with that title, the effect on those who don’t know is not what is intended.
Liar. Dumber than rocks. Alex Jones.
13I wish people who flunked all their science classes would quit flapping their mouths like they knew which end to eat with.
Not to be partisan here, but they’re pretty much all Republicans of the very rightest wing… or else dumb-as-dirt Democrats don’t get the press, I don’t know.
Yep– and if I don’t know, it must be true.
14Sadly I must confess I have had a “better dead” list for quite a while. If I came into possession of a “tornado” weapon then… Well, let’s just say I’d be in for a busy evening.
What hogwash!
15And I’m sure Jim Cantore and The Weather Channel are all in on it too.
16Violent storms are a result of low pressure systems colliding with high pressure systems formed when hot air rises and becomes dense.
I’m not sure where the low pressure is coming from, but Alex Jones is providing hot air enough to cause an F5.
BTW, wouldn’t the absence of any aircraft in and around weather patterns be even more suspicious? I mean, that’s where planes are normally found.
17Somebody please put Alex Jones and Rodney Wold in the same padded cell for a week or so. With max meds.
18Alex Jones, Glenn Beck & their ilk are positioning themselves (with their crazy) to take aver from Limbaugh after he implodes. God help us.
19Storms are easy to understand:
if a devastating storm hits either US coast or New Orleans that is God punishing/warning folks who are having way too much fun;
if a devastating storm hits a red state that is the evil liberals in government doing it because they hate real Americans.
20Alex Jones, Rush Limpballs, Beck and Hannity! Have any of these guys ever completed a semester in college or worked at anything other than his mouth? They know nothing and have done nothing of any value, so they have to make things up in order to have something to talk about. They serve no purpose.
21Less dense LynnN, and very unstable, that hot air. Add a little rotation to the mix and we get problems. The bigger the contrast, the bigger the problems.
22In other news there was 3′ of snow in upstate NY this weekend. Story in the Eagle, Whiteface mountain.
(btw, if that was just a typo and you just left out the “less” pardon me please…)
