My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Republicans never believed in family values unless they were/are using it as cudgel to beat their opponents. Republicans: family values for thee but not for me.

2Mind you, when the Republicans talk about family values, they’re really talking about “Addams Family Values.”
3Saying ALL REPUBLICANS or ALL DEMOCRATS puts us in kind of a bind. I know plenty of folks in both parties who have great families. I also know plenty of them in both parties who don’t. I’m just wary of the laws they pass. If you’re bored you might check out GOP and dominionism. Better than reading a good novel, definitely better than most TV. More scary too. I betcha lots of GOPs have never heard the word Dominionism and don’t realize what’s behind it.

5an affront to every American. To think that the people of S.Carolina would elect him to high office just to keep a Democrat from winning, speaks to their true lack of character.
