So We Have a Compromise, Huh?

April 10, 2013 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

So it appears that we have a break from the Senate on background checks at gun shows and internet sales of military grade munitions.

So have they got Ted Cruz locked in a closet somewhere or is this compromise just meant to give the GOP an escape route from listening to Ted Cruz tell the truth about their Party during a filibuster?  You know for a fact that if they let Ted Cruz stand up there and talk for an hour or more, he’s gonna say more stooopid things that grandma can kill with her hoe.

And he’s going to do it in that GOP unapproved lispy way that has got to send shivers up, sideways, and down their spines.

And then we have Senator James Inhofe showing all the sensitivity of a snake.

Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) said Tuesday that the gun control debate doesn’t have anything to do with the families of the Newtown, Conn., shooting victims, and that the only reason those families think it does is because President Barack Obama told them it did.

Ain’t that kinda like saying, “You’ve not only lost your child, you’ve lost your brain.”

Nice going, Inhofe.  This makes us wonder what you say about these families behind closed doors if this is what you say in public.

Hey, Inhofe, did you add that you only babble like that because the NRA tells you to?

Pull that rifle outta your butt, Bubby, and try to act like a American for once.

Be social and share!

  1. I don’t think we’re going to get what we really want on gun safety, but I see a chink in the wall. I think “it’s” going to happen. The NRA is going to lose – hopefully sooner than later.
    I sure hope I’m right.

Maybe they can reverse those “anonymous” additions to the debt ceiling bill – the ones making it still harder for the ATF to shut down sales to criminals.

Word is spreading around “the net” that 74% of the statements made by the morally bankrupt Cruz are lies.
No wonder he’s staying in the cloakroom.

  4. Inhofe is from the state where McVeigh blew up the Federal Building and killed 160 plus people, including the kiddies in the daycare center. Anyone want to check out what Inhofe had to say about that? Cannot fathom this guy’s alleged humanity! What a jackwagon!

  5. My guess: One of the Big Daddies in DC pulled Cruz aside and told him to Shut up or they would find his shoes on the banks of the Potomac River!
As for Inhofe, he’s so low he looks up at the bellies of snakes.

  6. @Maggie: My new favorite word – jackwagon!
@aj: My thoughts exactly. Someone has to be pulling that rug Cruz is standing on, hoping he’ll fall, or at least shut up.
I heard last night that Cruz had agreed to call one of the Newtown people who has called all of the 15 “filibusterers” but not gotten any response. I hope we get to hear about that conversation.

They’re starting to spin this as “background checks are not gun control because they don’t restrict ownership”. In the meantime, my Congressvarmint appears at a lobbyist (NRA) sponsored rally wearing an NRA T-shirt and claims there’s no conflict of interest in so doing. Probably because Congress made an exception that says that all meetings with the NRA are defined as ethical.

I noticed in today’s paper that Gov. Perry is inviting all of the gun manufacturers to move to Texas ! YeeHa !! I guess if Texas has all of the guns, then Perry and Abbott will believe they have the power they need to deny women their healthcare and abortion rights. They might ought to invite N. Korea to bring on the nuclear bomb. Women are kind of stubborn when they get backed into a corner.

Jesus loves the little children; Cruz prefers the NRA.

Here’s praising the Newtown parents for bringing their pain and the faces of their children to Washington, D.C.

Cruz announced that the Newtown families were being “exploited” by the President and gun control advocates. Since when is giving heart broken parents a voice to express themselves exploitation. If anyone is exploiting them, it’s Cruz who presumes that his is the voice to whom we should listen. Absolute narcissist!

  11. Judging by his position on climate change, there’s no room up Inhofe’s butt for his rifle because his head’s in there already.

At least we seem to be getting some action on gun control– hope it will save some lives. Given that two people were shot and killed by four-year-olds yesterday, some brains would be helpful too.

Would Inhofe say those words to Gabby Giffords face?
