Oh Please Shuddup. God is Listening.

March 22, 2013 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

SuperDeLux Brand Christian David Barton has come up with a new theory on why war is justified. We have to slaughter people to civilize them.

Fancy David Barton, Injun Killer

No, I am not kidding.

To demonstrate his point, Barton said that Native Americans declared war on “all the white guys” because missionaries tried to convince them to stop torturing their enemies but they resisted these efforts to civilize them and “so we had to go in and we had to destroy Indian tribes all over until” they got the message.

I am not going to say Hitler, although this may be the one argument in a million where it is justified, but I will say Pol Pot.

Thanks to Norma for the heads up.

  1. He should get struck by lightning just for dressing like that.
    Talk about a drugstore cowboy.

  2. Wikipedia says he is an ” author who is controversial among historians.” I think I can see why…

    2
  3. History is written by the winners…and sometimes by the bat-crap-crazy I-just-want-to-feel-superior idjets like Bachman, Palin, and this dude.

  4. Pardon me if this sounds rude, but this guy looks like a bathroom troller. Just sayin’.

  5. Duck mama, insert multi-lingual cussing.
“so we had to go in and we had to destroy Indian tribes all over until” they got the message.

I have friends who would like to “discuss” that with him.

This is the sort of thing that happens when Republicanites set up their own alternate realities – and histories. Have you ever checked out Conservapedia? It’s hysterically wrong on most everything. The front page is full of misinformation, outright lies, and that old favorite “some say” followed by sheer lunacy. Entertaining? You bet.

As the world runs out of Commies to Kill for Christ, there are some Bible thumpers who have to find substitutes.

  8. June Bug says:

The First Baptist Church in Houston had this twerp as an invited speaker not too long ago, in spite of the fact that his publisher had to “pull” his latest book because of inaccuricies. The Republicans constantly challenging social studies testbooks, look to this “historian” as an expert, as do TX republican politicans.

We came, we coveted their land, their resources, and robbed them in the name of civilizing them.Plain and simple: they were fighting a “just war” to protect their people and their land.

    “Controversial Historian” is a misnomer.

  9. @gramiam, my gaydar goes off too whenever I see a picture of this person, not that there’s anything wrong with being gay. He’s a denier for sure and stupid too.

This is because dead people don’t demand to be treated humanely, right? Way right….

  11. This guy looks like a reject from central casting. He got dumped because he came on too over the top. He just plain damn ain’t real! And pay no attention to that man behind the curtain operating all them gadgets!

  12. HippieCowboy says:

That’s like all those Repugnant white people so emphatically declaring “close the gates” on immigration. How the he– do they think their ancestors got here? If you’re not Native American, shut your mouth about immigration!

    12
  13. I’m pretty sure Native Americans were the first iteration of Homeland Security, but the terrorists eventually stole everything anyway.

  14. He looks like a sixteen year old showing rabbits at the Houston Livestock Show because he lacks the cojones to show steers.

    14
  15. Since Barton has clearly resisted any and all efforts to civilize him, does that mean we have to go in and we have to destroy him until he gets the message?

Are wingnuts opposed to torture now? I never get the memos.

Aw JuneBug, that sort of subversive stuff is gonna get you in a whole peck of trouble with Ms Barbara Cargill of the State Board of Edumacation and Dan Patrick, who, regrettably, chairs the state Senate panel on such. You’ve just got to realize that we need to teach people (expecially dam’ libruls) to look at things from OUR point of view (only) so that they will understand that we TRUE patriotick ‘Merikuns are EX-SEPT-SHUN-UL and not only that, we are PROBLY the 10 lost tribes of Israel too! So God was on OUR side and those heathen red men all went to hell becuz they didn’t accept JAY-suz as their personal Savior. And we are all entitled to our own opinion about history AND the facts dangit!

Ok, I have just made my own brain hurt. 😛

Mr. Barton needs to listen to that song from the 70’s (daChipster?) about the Cherokee people. I wish one (or several!) of them would return and do something about dear little David and his lack of fashion sense! Dear me, while on the topic, I bet one of those lovely men from the Plains would covet Perry’s pelt…
