Because Going Back To the Middle Ages is Not a Bad Idea If You Just Word It Correctly

February 07, 2013 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

The Republican Party appears to have rejected Bobby Jindal’s idea of not being stupid and opted to rename stupid as “blissfully detached.”

After their electoral drubbing last November — their second straight in a presidential contest — Republicans have faced a choice. Do they change their policies or their tone?

For now, many top Republicans in Washington seem to have opted for the latter, deciding that a more articulate re-statement of the party’s long-held principles will suffice in their effort to attract new voters to the GOP.

So the working poor will be referred to as “kindly unencumbered with tough investing choices.” And legitimate rape is out and has become, “she was unattractive and dressed modestly.”

There was a hospital in my town named Polly Ryon. It had a bad reputation and everybody called it Probably Dyin’. So, instead of improving the reputation, they simply renamed it to Oak Bend. Now it’s called Croak Bend. You can put lipstick on a pig, but she still won’t get elected Homecoming Queen.

Be social and share!

  1. If she is a Republican she may not get elected Homecoming Queen, but she has a decent shot at Vice Presidential candidate.

  2. Lynn, PERFECTAMUNDO~thank you for the roflmfao.

  3. We are already there.

The President, IMHO needs to start thumbing his nose at these people…. or if he’s of a mind…. needs to start telling a few to “Kiss It”. You lost.

Same with the United States Senate…. where it would appear that kumbaya is much more important, than solving the problems facing this county. Democrats hold a majority, but bend over backward to accommodate Lindsay Graham and John McCain?????a

As in the case of Polly Ryon……. a leapord, can’t, won’t and doesn’t want to change its spots.

It likes things…. just the way they are… Especially, if it’s making them money.

  4. And don’t forget “ethnically challenged.”

  5. Isn’t that the reason for them re-branding themselves as the Tea Party? Maybe instead of Grand Old Party it should stand for Guns of Patriarchy. That’s their entire message right there, short and concise.

When you’re putting lipstick on a pig, it helps if you at least put it on the right end.

  8. “Rebranding” can fool the rubes, but it’s worth noting that they’re already fooled. After two years of watching the Republicans’ feet rather than listening to their pitch, Americans will have had quite enough.

  9. Palin is already on it, folks. She’s been at war with the GOP Establishment… the RNC Community, as it were, since 2008. She figured consultants like Rove caused the GOP to lose, not her, and since Rove was picked to be Fox’s 2012 election night hero, she’s sticking with the Tea Party for future wins. If you like betting on horse races, take your pick!

  10. Just watched an old Carlin routine and it seemed somewhat apropos in how ‘soft language’ is so insulting. Check it out

    I really miss his humor.

  11. A pig with lipstick can still get elected homecoming queen. See: http://bit.ly/VKwBuC

  12. 1toughlady, thanks for the laugh!

The Publicans have been telling us for years that reality is whatever they say it is. They’ve started to believe their own Big Lie and are convinced that a vast majority of Americans really love them; we just need to have that pointed out to us again. And again.
