Want To Watch A Squirrel Talk Out of Both Sides of His Mouth?

Of course you do!

And Rand Paul is here to do it for you.

Upon his return from a week-long trip to the Middle East, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Wednesday that cuts to U.S. foreign aid to Israel should be gradual.

Reiterating comments he made during the trip, Paul said he was very conscious and appreciative of the “long time friendship” between the U.S. and Israel but the “greatest threat to America” is the national debt.

However, Paul said he wouldn’t be in favor of any cuts that would be “immediate, dramatic, or draconian.”

Oh, so all foreign aid is bad, unless you need religious right votes.

Y’all, it’s gotta be hard to be a Republican today.  You gotta please the religious right, the gun nuts, the greedy sumbitches, the Libertarians, the Tea party and watch your toes — the last of the Reagan Republicans.

Damn that takes some dancin’.  And, bless their hearts, the dance floor keeps getting smaller and smaller.

Thanks to David for the heads up.

Be social and share!

  1. Cover your ears Mama. Jackass, plain and simple.
An idiot child of an idiot father. What did Kentucky do to deserve this dam fool.

  2. Cutting aid to Israel – draconian.

Cutting money to our own seniors (you know, money these folks actually put in there – they just want it back) – not a bad idea.

    Yep, Repug mindset.

  7. Any cutting of aid to Israel must be gradual.

Cutting aid to the old and poor US citizens should be quick and conplete so they will learn to live with the new reality (as seen by the Regressives) or die early trying.

The crap doesn’t fall far from the crazy dingbat.

  8. I’m not a Ron Paul fan, but at least his looniness has a degree of consistency and even, occasionally sincerity. Rand is more opportunist than libertarian.

People who support Rand Paul because his last name is “Paul” are in for a big surprise.

  9. Don’t forget pleasing the skinheads, Klansmen, and other outright bigots. The current political connections between all these factions who are voting “R” is too bizarre to describe in a paragraph of appropriate length. Whoever said that politics makes for strange bedfellows could never have imagined this …

  10. I saw the founder and CEO of Whole Foods, an Austin, Tx based company, on CBS Morning News today. He has a book out, he’s a vegan, he’s wildly successful…. and is a Libertarian in the Ron Paul fold. Just bought my last over-priced chunk of Brie from that establishment.
