Responsible Gun Ownership in Texas

January 04, 2013 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Here’s how one Texan expresses his feelings over the Dallas Cowboy’s lousy season.

As a reaction to the Cowboys’ disappointing season, one Dallas fan decided to “Get the %^#* off my Romo jersey” by sticking it in a washing machine filled with explosives, then firing a rifle at it. (It took him a few shots to hit the target.)

Yep.  And you can see it happen right here.

Stolen with no excuse and even less regret from Harold Cook.

  1. OK, my mind is boggled.

  2. No comment…. well, yes… I do have a comment… GO BRONCOS!

I must admit that I haven’t been following the Cowboys, so I must ask, is his aim with a gun better or worse than Tony’s aim with a football?

Pre-YouTube Era = blissful ignorance of ignorance

  6. Anybody who takes that many shots to hit a washing machine has no business criticizing Romo for throwing all those interceptions. (Sorry, but here in Maryland they were a thing of beauty and a joy forever.)

    “It gone!”

  8. Also if you go to YouTube and search “burning Romo jersey”, you get 44 results.

  9. It’s like a hommage to the end of Dr. Strangelove, when Slim Pickens rode the H-Bomb out of the B-52s bomb bay, waved his cowboy hat in the thin air, & yelped out yee-ha on his way down. Except one movie clip makes a point about the insanity of the cold war and nuclear weapons, while the other just shows the (questionable) sanity of an individual, his guns, and dynamite.

  10. I’m beginning to think that the best way to control guns is to allow ownership only to people who have relatively low testosterone measurements.

good point LynnN. Now many mass murders have been committed by women?

Ms. Taitz resides in California, not Texas, but clearly lives in the twilight zone. Since this was a federal court case, it may have been reported by one of your local papers.

When did we start taking stupidity so seriously?

Some people take their football way too seriously.

    “Texas people just aren’t right!”
No- I won’t be bravely fwding your responses to her!! She’s the meanest woman I know!!!

  18. @Rhea: “Anybody who takes that many shots to hit a washing machine has no business”…owning a gun. 😀

    18
  19. RayS: Agree completely. Also anybody whose idea of a rational response to a sports loss is to blow up a washing machine has no business owning a gun or explosives or possibly a washing machine.

  20. I figure he had one too many digging that big friggin hole to bury his wash machine. I hope he recovers.
