Take Off The Damn Dress, Padre

December 28, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

An Italian priest has caused a storm with the poopie del pollo statement that women incite domestic violence with cold dinners and filthy houses.

Yeah, Father, and alter boys incite rape by having hineys.

Son of a motherless goat.

The flyer said women “provoke the worst instincts” and “should search their consciences and ask: did we bring this on ourselves?”

“The fact is that women are increasingly provocative, they become arrogant, they believe themselves to be self-sufficient and end up exacerbating the situation,” Corsi added. “Children are abandoned to their own devices, homes are dirty, meals are cold or fast food, clothes are filthy.”

In an ironic twist, it is my belief that Father Corsi should take off that dress, clean his own damn house church, drop the arrogance that he knows crap about being a woman, and take his filthy mind to the dry cleaners.

Get a mirror, Padre.

Thanks to Brian for the heads up.

Be social and share!

  1. “believing they are self-sufficient”

Oh, man, yeah…there it is, those uppity bitches daring think they might not need to depend on a man. Right.

I’m currently on a moratorium from swearing. Ok, I lied…I used up my year’s supply for 2012 and must restock before I can again scream and rant fully in 2013. So, I must dismiss this jerk by merely spitting on his virtual shoes.

  2. Who knew they had republican priests in Italy?

We received 17 inches of snow yesterday and more on the way tomorrow. I played a supporting role in the clean up.
I sort of cleaned my filthy house while wearing my see -through blouse and served my hubby and son sandwiches for dinner.
And ate candy while reading a book, occasionally glancing at the pile of dirty laundry.

    Cheers!

  3. There’s something wrong with those quotes up there.

[so-called men of god] “provoke the worst instincts” and “should search their consciences and ask: did we bring this on ourselves?”

“The fact is that [so-called men of god] are increasingly provocative, they become arrogant, they believe themselves to be self-sufficient and end up exacerbating the situation,”

    There. Fixed it.

  4. May God judge him with the same degree of mercy this silly priest extended generally to the sex he knows nothing about.

  5. Ellen Childress says:

It’s time for us to remind our daughters and granddaughters that we marched in the streets, wrote letters, sat on panels, wrote for magazines and newsletters, protested in Congress, went to jail, etc to protect the self-sufficiency of women, to guard their rights to choice, to education, to continue to vote, to have careers, to be able to take care of themselves and, if need be, their children. This is no time to give up the fight. Men like Corsi and a lot of others are just waiting for the women to falter. There are a lot of good men in this world who support the self-sufficiency, the strengths and intelligence and achievements of women. Seek their company and kiss the others off as the worthless scraps of human refuse that they are.

  6. Ralph Wiggam says:

It takes a sick person to want to keep a woman in a state of dependence.

    Sick. I suspect “mommy issues.”

    6
  7. John Peter Henson says:

Is it just me or does he have more than a passing resemblance to Jerry Sandusky ?…

    7
  8. This is a man in a dress. He is NOT RuPaul. He is irrelevant.

    8
  9. Ralph Wiggam says:

And then there’s this: “homes are dirty, meals are cold or fast food, clothes are filthy.”

That sounds exactly like the home of most single, straight men.

So who is he really complaining about?

    9
  10. It also was a major deal for women to be “allowed” to own property.

    10
  11. Father Corsi is not married, he probably does not cook, or clean his own house. Wouldn’t it be, oh I don’t know, arrogant maybe, to send out a flyer commenting on those things?

    11
  12. Amen, Sister Juanita Jean!!

    12
  13. “Father” Corsi is nobody’s father. (At least not legally) And he provides no fatherly form of spiritual sustenance to anyone at all. He’s a jerk. And yes, J. P. Henson, he does have a similar expression to Jerry Sandusky. Hmm . . . . .

    13
  14. As those of us who were educated by nuns in Catholic schools many moons ago you can bet your bottom dollar that those women _had_ to be subservient. I, at one time, briefly felt that I had a vocation. Never mind that the paean was . . . if you have a vocation you _cannot_ ignore it, you will be forever lost if you do . . . voiced over and over. I came to my senses about the time I transferred to public school and other more attractive alternatives presented themselves. Point: Today’s nuns are way different and I suspect not as much under the thumbs of those patriarchal anal orifices and they miss it. I say, yea and more power to ’em. They’re doing way more and showing a better face for the Catholic church despite those idjuts.

    14
  15. Sheesh, no wonder the Catholic church is losing members, particularly among the young~

    15
  16. I have a feeling the good Father will be thrown under the “Nuns on the bus” Bus.

    16
  17. buskyandme says:

I have always thought that it was wrong that Catholic priests could not marry. I’ve changed my mind.

    17
  18. First, I will concede that I do not know Italian Culture enough to judge how independent the women are there as a culture. So, I assume this jerk, is mainly addressing that culture – not American culture.

2nd, I love the semi-hidden message that women must cater to men and provide all the care-taking roles within the house – like meal preparation and cleaning. In other words, men cannot live as “man of the house” without being fully catered to by a subservient woman. I’m happy to know plenty of men that do not require such an unbalanced sharing of responsibility in the home with their partners.

And personally, I believe that Women in general are much more able to be self-sufficient, because, let’s face it, they don’t tend to think with their genitals. Unfortunately, they often sacrificed career for home and then when must return to earning an income they cannot get the best paying jobs. If their is a lack of self-sufficiency, it is often due to the environ treating women as “less deserving” of fair pay or better opportunities.

Americans, like Santorum, commenting like this really aggravate me since most are made by people with attitude that such situation should be the norm, when the reality is that we have so many single mothers because the father chose to ditch the responsibility. There is no “norm” in America and preaching for women to be back in role of full-time housewife and mother is simply impractical.

    18
  19. You know thinking about what he said, it’s not too different from Rush Linbaugh, maybe he’s looking for a show?

    19
  20. It was much worse when I read the full article. He is actually excusing murder. Italy’s murders against women are up.

One of the reason’s given by an Italian source was a higher rate of unemployment for the men. Sooo…the man is unemployed and his obvious inability to control his rage results in the murder of his spouse. Self-control issues seem to be the culprit, not how well his spouse kept the house and subjugated herself. My God, if she was also holding down a job, supporting the family, and trying to keep up the work load at home by herself – well, she was just asking for it.

Yes, he does look like Sandusky. My guess is that is not the only thing they have in common.

Without women, the Catholic Church would not last another year. Maybe it’s time to split off and join a group headed by The Nuns On The Bus.

    20
  21. All fundamentalist religions require women to look down on.

Fundamentalist religions in the U.S. have added minorities, gays and liberals to the list. It gives them happies.

    21
  22. Carol is right, Fox News is probably inking the deal as we speak.

    22
  23. Lorraine in Spring says:

In real Italian culture, men remain with their mamas until they move away. Even after marriage, their mamas cook for them & do their laundry if they live close by.

Some tried to bring that part of the culture to America where many of us Americanized Italian women said, grow the heck up & do your own laundry ’cause I ain’t your mama.

Padre Corsi apparently never cut the cord, he just relocated it from his mama to the Mother Church where his servants answer to his beck and call.

    IOW, he’s lazy & a whiner.

    23
  24. scottybeamer says:

With Reppublicans always demeaning women, and now the catholic church chiming in with them, I’m surprised there hasn’t been a revolution by women. If this nonsense keeps up, there will be a revolution. Call me when it starts, ladies,
and I’ll be right there with you!

    24
  25. Padre Corsi can kiss my wrinkled old butt!

    25
  26. Mine, too.

    26
  27. I think Father Corsi spends way too much time in the bathroom exacerbating, if you ask me.

    27
  28. Corinne Sabo says:

Wanto to bet there are women cleaning his house and cooking his meals? Guess what I would cook for him.

    28
  29. Kate oDubhagain says:

    Corinne,

Maybe a Helping of Minnie Davis’ famous homemade chocolate pie?

    29
  30. I was going to comment, but you gals are doing just fine.

    30
  31. Corsi is voicing really old line Italian male thinking. I opine that these guys got that way from the way Italy was once divided into city states and each state needed a strong “capo” to defend it against the other city states that were conspiring against them or actually marching on their gates. Isn’t it amazing how such thinking gets cemented into the mentality? This kind of “thinking” ends up branding the thinker as a waste of DNA. Which I believe will be a world wide unanimous opinion.

    31
  32. Kate oDubhagain says:

Maggie, At least Corsi won’t be reproducing.

    32
  33. gabberflasted says:

I wonder? Is this Neanderthal of the same genealogy as that famous ‘JEROME?’ Ya know, WMD?
I encouraged my wife and daughter to be independent. Their own source of income, health insurance, savings, etc. Have never doubted my action.

    33
  34. Some of you may remember the early 1970s, when Italian women took to the streets to demand the right to divorce. At the time, there was NO divorce in Italy. (Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti had to move to France in order for him to divorce his wife and marry Sophia.) The politicians, knowing that women had the vote, complied and passed a divorce law.

I wonder if Corsi has given that any thought. Why on Earth would so many thousands of women demand the right to be rid of their oh-so-wonderful husbands???

  35. Aggieland liz says:

My 4-10″ Irish grandmother was THE nicest and most catholic lady I ever knew. This particular priest would make her mouth tighten up and then she would firmly change the subject. She was ninety-eight when she died, and had seen a few things. She encouraged me to not depend on ANYONE else and to always be certain that I could feed myself. My grandfather died when my dad was 2 and her old boss invited her to come back anytime. She did, and my father stayed w family until he could attend boarding school. CATHOLIC boarding school. Those priests turned out two of the best damn family men ever created (my Uncle Tom too), and they married strong independent women and fathered strong independent daughters. Anyone who reads my comments knows that I am 1) still practicing to be a Catholic, and 2) nutty as a fruitcake, so no surprises here. Father Corsi has some serious personal problems and a big mouth; I don’t imagine his dean or Bishop are going to be at all pleased with this piece of drivel going viral. For every Fr Corsi though, there are bunches of nice men working very hard in their parishes and trying to do what is right and not despair, just like the Nuns on a Bus. They aren’t contraversial, so they don’t get any air-time; they are mostly invisible. It’s the squeaky wheel that needs grease!

I’m not nearly as nice or as catholic as my Gran though: Corsi makes my mouth tighten up and then burst with obscenities. Many and varied obscenities….

    35
  36. These guys are proving every day that the Catholic Church is an institution full of criminals and amoral men where it’s acceptable to murder women and gays and sexually assault children.

    36
  37. Like JaneE, for a very brief time I, too, aspired to be a nun, and later often thought fondly of that peaceful existence when up all night with sick babies.

My 2nd was born 12 mo. after the 1st and my devout Catholic mother told me I should ask my doctor about the new birth control pill. Shocked, I said the Church forbids using birth control.

Mom grew from 5’1″ to about 10’1″ right before my eyses as she replied, “If men could have babies, the Pope would make that new pill a sacrament to give out at Mass.” Then she went into a rant about priests having no idea what it takes to feed, clothe & educate children, and if they did, there would be dam* fewer of them, and ended with, “If you don’t get on that pill, you’ll soon have 5 kids & your husband will leave you, and what will you do then?”

Six months later, I walked away from my stressful job (woman boss was raving alcoholic) & walked over a mile in bitter cold & snow to my church. I couldn’t tell my husband who had just begun final exams in pre-med courses. I needed real help to buy groceries – at 19, I didn’t know about unemployment insurance, social services or any way of getting financial help. The priest advised reading Betty Friedan’s “Feminine Mystique” – like I could buy a book! Caring man, but absolutely totally clueless.

Unlike AggielandLiz, I stopped pretending that the Roman Catholic priests, bishops or popes had any understanding of anything Jesus supposedly taught – despite telling us what those teachings were & tweaking them over hundreds of years.

Revolution will come when Catholic women, who keep the Church going, finally quit pretending that the true reason for the legend of Edan was to stamp out ancient female goddess worship. Not going to happen until these ladies do some serious inquiry into the source of the 3 religions that celebrate male domination.

    37
  38. Oops.. should’ve read before posting!

    eyses = “my eyes”

pretending & Edan = “finally quit ignoring the true reason for the legend of Eden was to stamp out ancient female goddess worship.”
